The Devil, once my brother,
Had assured me of her spirit.
Shall he restore my beloved to my care
For my accompaniment.
After such a heresy
What could I have to lose?
But I was staggered by my piety,
Unsure which side to choose.
I poured over my soul,
Searched though my tortured mind,
For some idea of action;
But no answer could I find.
Then he showed me letters
In her familiar script.
She was thinking of me always.
I knew then, what it meant.
My precious, my love,
I swear I will find you.
If not from above,
Then in the below.
