Chapter three. I am aware that the last chapter things moved a bit too fast. I will try to adjust to your ideas and preferences, if possible. Reviews help. I feel so horrible; I haven't updated my fanfiction stories in over a month... I used to do it every day... oops. This is kind of a filler chapter; I still don't know how I'll play the park.

P.s. I'm so used to writing fanfics, that I almost wrote a disclaimer right here!

The longer I go over it, the more likely it seems that I'm dreaming. This couldn't be real. My life has never been even somewhat decent... so why are the Fates giving me happiness now?

It's a date, he had said. People say that all the time. I'm sure that he was just talking regularly; I know not of northern speech.

Math class is a blur, just like all of the others. Usually school interests me, but today only one thing is on my mind- an intensely amazing thing named Will Gray.

The bell is a shrill ping, pulling me from my daydreams. I walk out of school, smiling at Diana and Malcolm as I pass. They smile back and I feel my heart swell at the thought of friends, real friends.

I am so elated that even the bus can't bring me down. I see my house come into view and get off as fast as I can. James's truck pulls in just as I walk up the small driveway.

"Hey, sis. How was your first day?" He asks me as we walk towards the door, his strawberry blonde mop of hair flailing in the wind.

"Best. First. Day. EVER." I reply.

James smiles. "Care to explain why, miss sunshine? But I have an idea that it might've been that dude that you were practically cuddling around the halls all day!" James laughs.

I push him into the side of the house. "Shut up, jerk. And he has a name," I add.

"And that would be..."

"Will," I feel myself smiling as I say it. "Will Gray. He invited me to go with him and his friends to the park by the junior high. He'll be picking me up at five, so don't feel the need to stick around..." I say and sic him with my 'embarrass me and you die' look.

"Whatever, whatever. I won't tell him the story of your first water park," James chuckles at his supposed wit. Grr.

"Get in the house, moron."

I spend the next hour equally between prepping and panicking. A spritz of hairspray here, a moan of fear there. All in a day's work, right?

My alarm hits five minutes to five all too fast. I run downstairs to wait. I really want this to go well. I was finally... not popular, but at least accepted.

I hear a slight knock at the door just as my watch hits five. Oh, how I love a punctual man. I run a bit over excitedly to answer the door.

Will waits there with that grin, the one that makes my heart melt. "Hey, Lissa. You ready?" I nod vigorously and feel my ears warm. Oh crud, I thought I had stopped doing that!

He turns towards a parked blue convertible that would make James drool. He opens he door for me. WHAT A GENTLEMAN, I think.

"To the park," he says and starts the engine. In no time, we are cruising down the road.

I use this time when Will is distracted to take a close look at him. I notice the light dimple in his right cheek, and the way his ears were even dusted in light, tan freckles.

We pull up. My jaw drops and I bite back a scream.

"Uhh... Will? Who's THAT?"

What will be at the park? I have an idea, but it's pretty bad. If you have an idea, tell me. It will most likely be better than mine! Sorry if I don't update soon, school just ended, so I have a ton of stuff to do!- Abby;)
