What would you do
In a locked room
In a cold dark place
What would you do
If you had to face your fear
In a dark locked room
Or even in boredom
No need for food or air
A monster would you become
A terror would that be
Would you test your strength
Against the cold hard walls
Would you go insane
With fists against your head
Would you meditate
A monk in this place
Dancing like standing with two bare feet
On embers as hot as your mind is wild
What would it take to finally clam down
To rid of music and voices
Of conscience and sense
In instinct or shell
What would I do
In your place
To run away
Or stay
And face judgments
It's always the final test
The hardest
To try
Body Mind and Soul
It's no problem
For those you had faced
This cold dark room
One will always release
The heart
The mind
Once they've come to conclusions with the world
Not giving up
But understanding
That's the difference of this and that
When you realize these things you hold on to
They're pointless
The only thing that stops you from soaring
The thing that makes you fear
You'd been trying to run
To let go
To not care
About anything or anyone
To be free
Feeling empty
Yet you also see
This room you've been in
It was the only thing holding you together
The only thing that gave you knowledge
You were heading to empty
Those feelings making you seem dug up
But they had been overflowing
This room
This test
This insanity
Is all we've ever had
