Mark stared at Amy as she sat in front of him, watching him play with their dog. While the dog growled as he tugged on the rope, Mark asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Sighing, Amy held up her palm. "Would you say that this is real, or not?" she questioned with deep seriousness, looking into his emerald green eyes. "Uh…" he squinted at her palm. "No."
"I thought so," she muttered.
"But if it were to be real, I would ask where you got it," Mark said. "It must be a clock that you taped to your palm. Did you sleep last night?"
"Sure," his older sister mumbled, not hearing what he had said.
Standing up from her confused brother and the dog chewing on the rope, she stepped outside, strolling into the cluster of trees. Twirling her new necklace around, Amu whistled a soft tune, one that even she did not strangely remember. The sound echoed through the forest, only the chirps of birds replying back. Examining the necklace closely, she unlocked the little locket, finding a mirror inside. Her eyes wandered to the other side of the locket, slowly stopping her walk and widening her eyes as she reacted to the words:
The Fifth.
Before she could stop whistling, she fell into a dark portal, and somehow appeared into the mirror room (as she called it).
Amy swiftly pulled the necklace from her neck, throwing it away from her. Trembling, the experience had made her afraid, but also more curious.
