Authors Notes: One of my old poems.

This hate I've felt is undeniable.
I've blemished everything until it became unreliable.
I started to hate you,
Now I can feel you in everything I do.
I'm crazy, a fucking monster.
It's so hard to cover up anymore I'm not even going to bother!
I'm the reason a bite means eternal love,
Along with a punch, a scratch, and a shove.
I can no longer feel love without pain,
Other then this I will feel nothing but shame.

You should know by now the screaming means I'm needing
And all the lashing out is just my way of pleading.
I just can't reach for you beyond this metal scene,
You're going to have to forgive me, I'm just a hate machine!

I understand that hello is always connected to goodbye
And I'm to smart to believe all the stupid lies.
But that doesn't mean I don't want to hear you say hello just the same
And I'm still going to say "I hate you" before your name.
I'll let the booze slip through my veins,
For you I'll try one last time to undo my chains.
The fight for freedom is so strange,
Because deep inside the hate is killing the change.
And when I fail it's not your fault, but I want it to be
So I'll come at you screaming, just to get you to look at me!

I've been this way so long,
That now all my rights are wrong.
All withheld by your disregard,
There's no way we wont both be marred.
All my struggling has been forsaken,
But I will rise again unshaken.
They have no idea how much THEY'RE the ones who are naive,
With all these things right before their faces that they could never perceive.
They can't see past our back-and-fourth abuse,
They don't understand that we have to say "hate" and REFUSE...
