I was severely injured sitting against a tree. My eyes closed, I needed help. My leg was bleeding a huge gash cut open on it. I sighed and pulled out my phone, I always could rely on Alexandria and her brother Andrew. They always were there when I needed them.
I dialed Alex's number and sighed, "Hello?" her voice came through the phone, "Hey. Alex I kind of need help. Don't tell Andrew!" I said, "Jake why not? And you know he hates the whole Andrew name right?" Alex said I caught a hint of laughter in her voice.
"I know, but come on he changed like two letters in your name to make his." I said, "We are twins dumbass!" Alex snapped, "Sorry my bad, Anyway just don't tell him please. I'm injured and I need help." I didn't give her a chance to reply I hung up. It seemed like hours, before I heard footsteps. I coughed and blood splattered to the ground. I'd been coughing it up a lot.
I glanced up, Alex was there, her eyes focused on me, "Happened again?" she asked. I only nodded. She walked to me and touched my wound. It hurt like crazy, but I bit my lip to hide the pain. I heard a gasp and my anger spiked, "Andrew!?" I growled, but saw Morgan was there instead. Morgan was the most popular girl in school and currently dating and idiot named Trey. "What happened!? Oh gosh you need a hospital!" she said, "No hospital!" I snarled and I do mean snarled, I stood up, but collapsed to my knees coughing more. My body jerked and I closed my eyes deciding that I had only option to go with. "Jake no!" Alex warned, but I was past listening. Thoughts of running through the woods, of hunting and fighting, of having a pack came to my mind and the minute I opened my eyes I was gazing through wolf eyes.
I gazed at Morgan she actually wasn't running. She wasn't even scared. She was watching me with amazement, I watched her approach me and cringed back. "Jake, is that really you?" Morgan whispered and I nodded, as a wolf I was mostly mute. Couldn't bark couldn't speak. I let her touch my ears and then jerked my head around. Footsteps, they were close. I spun around my leg hurt badly, finally I bolted, right then the pain severely hurting me, but I had to get away. "Jake stop your leg!" Alex yelled, but she never followed. The last thing I heard was Trey ask, "What's going on!?" and then I was gone. I stumbled and stopped my ears back I tried to imagine a human form, a human walking, anything to get me normal, but the truth was. I was a freak, a werewolf in a way, and I belonged as a wolf.
