Chapter 1- Jasmine
It was another crappy day.
You want to know what happened? I got pushed to the ground, trampled on, an F, AN F, on my report card, and Darwin (such a bitchy idiot) keeps stalking me. If he asks me out, he'll have to go to the EM room.
I walked home from school today, because I couldn't stand the teasing on the bus, especially from Topaz (and Alana). They would call me a slut and a bitch, or a bitchy slut, or a slutty bitch (which ever they felt like using). The only people who would stand up for me ('cause the bus driver didn't care) were Justin Soude and Nathan Tovy. Justin, definitely Justin, especially yesterday.
Here's what happened-
I got the far most seat on the bus, where Topaz usually sits. When she came over, she said, "Get up, you freaky slut." Alana backed her up with a very lame "yeah".
Justin yelled back, "Topaz! She's not a slut!"
"Really? Prove it!" Alana backed her up with another lame "yeah".
Justin started off on a rant. "She's not a 'cause when you're teasing her, she just takes it in quietly. She's not a slut 'cause she minds her own beeswax! She is not a slut 'cause we already have a class slut!" He voice went quiet. "It's you Topaz. It's you with your bitchy follower, Alana."
Topaz quietly started to cry. Alana went rigid. But then Topaz looked at me. From the look in her eyes, I knew what she was thinking. He defends her. He defends her! Instead of me! She is soooo going to get it. And he will never be my boyfriend, not that he wants to. She went back to sobbing.
Justin switched seats and sat next to me. He leaned close and whispered in my ear. "You're much better than her. And prettier. Friday. & o'clock. Your house. I'll take you someplace... special." His friends were laughing.
I asked him something. "Were you dared to say that?"
He chuckled. "No. I was dared to come over and say you're actually a bitch. But why would I say that? I like you. I like you a lot."
I slapped him and pushed him out of my seat. But I could tell he saw the look in my eyes that told him yes to his offer, because he smiled. Then I pegged him in the leg and went back to staring out the window. Wondering where my life would go next.
If only I knew.
