In the silence of the early morning everything seems so much more alive. Relieved of human noise, I can hear the earth pulsating, at the surface ever so slightly, almost missed if you don't concentrate enough, then deeper, louder until you reach the core of the universe and discover its giant pumping organ like the tiny one trapped inside your chest. They beat time with each other. Both of them with the duty of keeping us alive. And in the silence of the night, I can hear both of them. My own murmurs secrets, speaks unspeakable things, gently confesses the truth. "You love him. You are scared of being hurt. You doubt yourself."

My heart knows.

My love flows out to him. And I truly believe it is transferred across the distance to him. In such moments of raw, pure truth in which I am more myself than at any other time, I feel the line between life and death thin.
