I'm hurt, you're the cause

I cry, you ignore me

I'm better, but I'm not

I'm screaming in silence

I'm dieing, you shun me,

You're hurt, I tell myself not to sooth your pains

You cry, and I contemplate comforting you

You're better, I tell myself but I know you not

You're screaming, and I hear you

You're dieing, I nurse you back to health

Why, I ask, why?

The answer lies in the heart of compassion, sitting right next to peace and kindness.
