School Stuff

Introduction

Schools hard and boring. That's the first thing you think on a school morning. You don't want to get up early. You want to sleep in until 12. But you have to get up at six in the morning, to go learn things.

Well, that's how people think of school, I'm different. I love school. I love the fact that I can learn new things every day. Things that will defiantly help later on in life.

I get good grades, I'm always good in class, I do my homework, I listen to the teacher. I'm a nerd/teacher's pet.

I'm also bullied. A lot. Not the punch and kick bullying but the bullying where they say mean and disgusting things to you. Where you cry your eyes out because every class someone says something mean to you like: fat, dork, teacher's pet, all the disgusting words bullies say to you. I try to ignore them but it's hard.

I only have one friend. And where only friends because where both bullied, where both dorky. Where both different.

Really school isn't that bad, with the exception of the bullying. The teachers are nice and so is my friend, that's all I need really.

Chapter 1

I'm standing in the halls of McGarder Middle school, reading. My friend next to me, reading to. The halls deserted except for a few strays. It's lunch, but we don't eat lunch, our spend time in the cafeteria. We mostly spend time in the library and in the halls. There's too much whispers when we walk by people. Before school, lunch and after school is the only time we can escape that. The only time we have to ourselves.

"Shouldn't we head to English class?" my friend, Stray Johns, said. A girl of medium height, golden brown hair all up in a ponytail, hazel eyes. A normal girl really, except for a few "flaws".

"Ya, bells gonna ring in five minutes, we should head to English," I reply. Me, Lana Wood, tall, brown hair up in pony tail like Stray's, except I have red round glasses over my brown eyes. A normal girl like Stray, except for a few "flaws".

With my reply we head to English class, which isn't all that far from the cafeteria. We just like getting there early so we can be in the class, ready to go. Not have to pass through whispers.

We make it to 7th grade English class. One minute left of lunch. The doors open. We pop our heads in, see our teacher Mrs. Rousch. A really sweet person really. Short, blond hair, blue eyes. Normal, a truly normal women.

"Come on in girls," Mrs. Rousch said without looking behind her. She always knows when where there early.

We walk into the room and take our seats in the front of the class. As where taking out our supplies for the class, the bell rings.

Stray and I tens up, knowing what is coming next.

People start to file in. Everyone that passes by us sticks out there tongue at us our whisper, "dorks."

Mrs. Rousch never hears, at least I don't think so.

Everyone is in their seats now, supplies out, ready to learn, well my friend and I are anyway. Class starts.

We work on a lot of grammar. English passes quickly and soon the bells ring singling 7th period.

Stray and I have math next. We learn about equations and median and mode. And soon the bell rings, singling the end of the school day.

Stray is coming over to my house today. It's Friday. We want to do some homework then watch a movie.

But before we can do that we need to pass by our "classmates" to get home. This is where people really "attack."

We start walking quickly through the halls. Wanting to get home, without all the bullies throwing rude words at us.

We make it outside with just a few whispers and smirks from the students inside the halls. When we get outside that's where the real trouble is stationed.

And by trouble I mean Aaron Critz, jock, leader of the bullies, and the football team. All the girls love him with his sandy hair and blue eyes, those other girls think that he's a model. But really Stray and I think he's just a loser, idiot and plain stupid.

We try to go another way but it would take forever to get through the crowd. So where forced to pass by Bully Aaron. And sadly he spots us.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the teachers pets," Aaron says, everyone laughs including his little group, they love it when they bully us. We keep on walking, trying to ignore him, we don't get too far because everyone has formed a circle around us.

"Where are you going," Aaron asks in a mock voice, " don't you want to stay and... talk?" he finishes, smirking.

"What makes you think that?" I ask, an annoyed look in my eyes.

"I thought you liked me, I'm truly hurt," he says with a fake frown, holding his heart like its breaking.

"I'm so sorry that you're finally growing a heart," I say now truly annoyed. Everybody ohhhhs at what I said.

Now Aaron just looks annoyed and well annoyed. "Why don't you go back to wherever you came from?" he doesn't really ask.

"Oh, I was heading there, until I was rudely interrupted," I reply now really getting annoyed.

"Ha, you walk home, I'm surprised, you weigh so much you probably couldn't get half way," he says with a smirk. Everybody laughs, and I almost start crying. "Ahh, does little Lana want her mom?" Aaron says.

"Stop," I say, getting all the strength I can muster just to say that simple word.

"Ha ha, in your dreams. Your just a...," Aaron doesn't get to finish saying what I am because he's interrupted by a girl yelling Stop.

"Aaron will you just give it a rest, leave them alone?" she says in a harsh voice.

He looks angry but nods and gestures for everyone to leave and he does to. Once everyone is gone the girl walks over to us and I finally recognize her.

She's Aaron's girlfriend. And my jaw almost drops. And she's a cheerleader. Wow who would have thought a cheerleader would have done what she did.

"I'm sorry about Aaron, he can be a real jerk sometimes," she replies sadly.

Stray and I just stare at her like she's an injured moose.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asks. "Oh, I haven't introduced myself, my name is Jennifer Stone," she finishes, sticking out her hand.

I take it, but with a shaking hand of my own. So does Stray, in the same way I did.

"I'm Lana," I reply. "I'm Stray," Stray replies to.

Jennifer just looks at us with weird looks.

"Well, hi Lana and Stray, of course I already knew your names, I mean who doesn't," she asks with a smile on her face, not a smirk like other people, but a genuine, sweet smile.

We just keep on staring at her, as if she had three heads.

"Well, this is awkward isn't it, I was wondering, could I walk with you guys, I live close to you, and I would like to ask you some, um, questions," she finished, looking at us expectantly.

"Why?" was my one worded question.

"Well, you guys seem nice and I would like to get to know you, I want to get to know the real Lana and Stray, not the ones everybody else knows. I want to know the real you." Jennifer replied, with a smile on her face.

I looked over at Stray and looked at her as if asking, 'is this okay with you?'. She nodded a yes. Then I nodded a yes and Jennifer smiled like the sun.
