There is a forest under the sea.
It is a great big brown thing,
With no leaves or shrubs,
But plenty of water to be drank.
The floor is the mermaid's powder,
And its roots take pleasure,
In dragging you under,
And holding until there is nothing to take.
But you cannot fear
Sharks or Octopi,
In the never-greens,
Only the memory of them.
Those who used to live,
In the forest under the sea,
And what they do as they drown
In the hollows of the trees.
