Shattered Innocence

The broken mirror

laid shattered on the

blood soaked floor

The sound of a

weeping child

echoed off the

barren walls

Her nails coated

in blood

as she clawed

at her bruised skin

her once vivid

eyes have now turned

into blank orbs

left to

stare into the

abyss that

surrounds her

nothing was left for

her, the room

she grew up

in has now

become her prison

the family she once

grew to love

has become

cold and unloving

but now it

was all over

she knew it was time

as the heavy footsteps

approached

she would

accept her fate

closing her eyes

she folded her hands

to pray but

no one answers

her last tears fall

to the ground

as she takes

her last breath

she knew there

was nothing left
