Andy unlocked the door to the townhouse that the band shared. He helped them bring their luggage inside and got into his car.

"See you in the morning!" He drove off without another word. Kyle, Jess, Edward and Zeke ran into the house and into the plush living room.

"Home at last!" Kyle exclaimed, kicking off his shoes. Zeke fell onto the shag carpet and picked up an Xbox remote. He turned on the TV and started playing Black Ops. Edward landed in the loveseat and picked up another controller. Jess collapsed onto the plush armchair and fell asleep in minutes. The camera man stood by awkwardly, filming them.

"I'll show you the guest room." Kyle got off of the couch and led the camera man upstairs to one of their guest rooms. The man began to unpack his suitcases. "Make yourself at home, feel free to film whatever you like, but please knock first." Kyle smiled and headed downstairs. He towed his and Jess's suitcases upstairs and dumped hers in her room before dragging his to the room across the hall. He had just started to unpack when he heard soft footsteps behind him. Jess stood in his doorway in her favorite Adventure Time pajamas.

"Hey." She said nervously, twisting a lock of her bright pink hair in her fingers. She licked her lips nervously and Kyle smiled at the seemingly intimidating girl. Her tongue barbell was a pink glow in the dark one and her lips studs were also bright pink.

"Hey." He replied, setting a stack of tee shirts in a laundry basket. She walked slowly to him.

"Um, about this morning, and last night, I don't know what got into me, I just…" She stopped when she reached Kyle and looked up into his bright blue eyes. He stared into her dark green eyes and leaned down to kiss her. Their lips met and he kissed her gently, he was surprised when she stood on tip-toe and kissed him back. His arms wound around her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck, effectively pulling him closer to her. They pulled apart. Kyle smiled down at her and kissed her again. They continued to kiss passionately for a few minutes before Kyle pulled away. He walked to the door. Jess sank onto his bed, disappointed. Kyle walked to the door and shut it, then locked it. He walked back over to Jess and sat next to her on the bed. He picked her up and threw her down on the bed before climbing on top of her. They began to kiss again, growing fiercer with every passing minute. As Kyle was removing her shirt, someone began to knock on the door. They ignored whoever it was. The knocking grew louder, more urgent.

"Kyle," Jess breathed between kisses. "I think-"Another kiss. "You should see-" Another kiss, this one much longer. "Who it is." He captured her tongue and a heated fight for dominance ensued. Jess won and moved on top of Kyle. She laughed and he growled playfully. They kissed again, and fought for the upper hand. Kyle won and pulled Jess under him. He kissed her on the neck, then the collar bone, then her breast. She sighed. He stopped.

"What?" He asked, resting his chin on her bare stomach. He absently played with her belly button ring with his tongue as he waited for a response.

"Same old moves Kyle." She smiled playfully and pulled his face to hers. They kissed and she tugged his jeans off. He sat up and pulled off his shirt. The knocking began again.

"Kyle? Jess?" Kyle stopped in the act of creating a hickey on Jess's left breast. Jess stopped caressing Kyle's chest. That was Zeke's voice.

"Kyle? C'mon man. Open the door." They heard the handle rattle as Zeke tried to open the door. "Not cool dude. I don't care what you're doing with yourself in there; I just need to talk to you."

Jess giggled. "He thinks you're playing with yourself, how cute!" Kyle shot her an angry look and captured her lips. She moaned as his tongue entered her mouth and his body pressed down on hers. They stopped and stared in shock at the door as they heard a key enter the lock.

"Hide. Now!" Jess hastily crawled out from under Kyle and jumped under his bed as he pulled on his shirt and the door opened.

"Hey Zeke. What's up?" Kyle asked nonchalantly, standing up from the bed and walking over to his closet. He opened it and pulled out a pair of gray sweatpants. He pulled them on as Zeke began to talk.

"Why was your door locked Kyle? C'mon man, we're like brothers! You can talk to me!" Kyle pulled off his shirt and walked into his bathroom. Zeke followed him and began to talk as Kyle brushed his teeth.

"I was just wondering what you thought about Jess, cause I was thinking of asking her out. I didn't know if you had something going on there, so I wanted to know if you were cool with that." Under the bed, Jess froze in the act of pulling her pants on. Zeke liked her too? She hastily pulled her pants up and lay down under the bed, her bare breasts tensing at the touch of the cold floor. If we're going to do this a lot, he needs carpet under here.

In the bathroom, Kyle froze with his toothbrush in his mouth and a handful of aspirin in his hand. He spit out the toothpaste and rinsed his mouth before swallowing the pills. He rinsed out his mouth and turned to Zeke, looking past him at Jess, who was mouthing something to him. He felt his pants tightened as he noticed she wasn't wearing a shirt. He tried to concentrate on what she was trying to say. He never figured it out, cause Zeke turned at that moment and saw Jess under the bed. She froze.

"Kyle?" Zeke turned back to his best friend.

"Yes?" Kyle asked, wincing at the expression on Zeke's face.

"Why didn't you tell me? You know you can tell me anything!"

"It just sort of happened!" Kyle followed Zeke as he walked over to Kyle's bed. He bent down to see eye-to-eye with Jess. He looked back up to Kyle.

"When?" Kyle shifted uncomfortably and looked down at Jess. She sighed and crawled out from under the bed, pulling her shirt on as she did.

"Last night, and this morning, and again just now if you hadn't had the key." She told him guiltily, playing with a loose string on her shirt.

"And we had a whole nine hour bus ride from then to now and you didn't feel the need to tell me?" Kyle looked at Zeke's angry face and got defensive.

"Just because you interrupt us doesn't give you the power to judge! You can't tell us what to do, and what to tell you! You aren't in charge Zeke!"

"I thought you knew I had feelings for her! I didn't expect you to betray my trust!"

"You didn't tell me about your 'feelings' until like a minute ago, after we'd slept together twice! I'm not giving her up so you can try to take her! You're no good for her!"

"And you are?" Kyle stopped short at Zeke's response. He let out an angry breathe and collapsed onto his bed, Jess sat next to him. She looked up at Zeke.

"Please keep this secret for us Zeke? Please?" He glared at her for a moment before sighing and giving in.

"Fine." He kissed her on the forehead and left the room, closing the door gently behind him. Kyle sat up and kissed her, pulling her down onto the bed.

"Where were we?" He climbed on top of her, sliding his tongue along her neck.

"Lock the door."

O.O

It had been two months since Kyle and Jess had first slept together. They had been sneaking into each other's rooms every night since. Jess didn't know why, but she had this dying need to be with Kyle. Kyle knew that she thought of their relationship as simply physical, but he didn't care for the moment. The band had managed to write a few new songs for their 'unrequited love' album, including a new one about a physical relationship driving one of them mad, wanting more. Jess knew that Kyle had written that song about them, she knew he wanted her to admit she loved him back, but she just wasn't ready to. She also knew something that made her feel guilty every time Kyle used a condom with her. She just didn't want to tell him yet. She knew she'd have to soon.

Jess woke up and ran for Kyle's bathroom. She barely made it to the toilet before she threw up violently. She threw up twice more and curled up in a ball on the cold tile floor, sobbing. Her cries woke Kyle, who climbed out of bed and pulled on a pair of sweatpants before pulling her into his lap.

"It's okay Jess. We can take you to a doctor. Maybe you finally got mono after all this time." He laughed lightly, hoping to cheer her up. She sniffled a little and snuggled into his chest.

"I'm sorry." She whispered, her voice muffled by the sleeve she held in front of her face. It was mid January and as she spoke, snowflakes began to drift lazily past the window. Kyle kissed her forehead gently.

"It's okay, you haven't done anything wrong. You're perfect Jess." She shook her head violently and pulled herself from his embrace and stalked across the hall to her room. Kyle heard her throw up a few more times and then heard the shower start. He picked up a pair of skinny jeans and a Swedish sweater embroidered with moose and headed to take a shower.

At the breakfast table an hour later, Edward kept giving Jess strange looks. She stared down at her breakfast of biscuits and gravy and felt sick. She excused herself and ran upstairs. Edward followed her and arrived at her room door in time to hear her throw up. He slowly walked into the bathroom to find Jess sitting on the floor with her arms drawn up to her chest, breathing slowly. He pulled her into his arms.

"Jess, tell me what's wrong. You seem so sick. I can help you."

She hiccoughed and looked into his dark eyes. "P-Promise you won't tell?"

He held out his pinky. "Pinky swear." Jess smiled at their shared childhood memory and opened the cabinet under her sink. She pulled a used pregnancy test from an opened box hidden behind her shampoos. She held it out to him and he took it tentatively, staring in obvious shock at the little pink smiley face at the end.

"I'm guessing you weren't smiling when you saw this." He said after a moment of stunned silence.

She shook her head. "No, crying actually." He looked down at her, his little Jess, his best friend for over ten years, snuggled safely in his arms, carrying a burden too great for someone as young and sweet as she.

"You can't do this Jess. There's no way." She frowned at him.

"I can, and I will. I'm already eight weeks, only thirty-two to go."

"Who's the father?"

Her face froze, then slowly she reanimated, obviously struggling with how to say this. "Erm, it's Kyle's." She looked up at him expectantly, waiting for a furious reaction. His face remained blank. After a minute he spoke.

"Does he know?"

"No. I can't bring myself to tell him. And I feel guilty about it every night, cause he takes such good care to use a good condom, and I can't tell him how wasted his efforts are."

"Excuse me? Did you just say he uses a condom every night? How long have you two been sleeping together?" She stared guiltily at her toes.

"Two months, since the night he got me pregnant. Oh, that sounds so weird to say out loud. I'm pregnant. I'm going to have a baby. Holy shit, I'm going to have a baby!" She turned to face Edward, her panic evident in her eyes. "What the hell am I thinking? I can't do this! C'mon! Let's go! Abortion clinic now!"

"Jess, calm down. I think you should tell Kyle about this, then you can talk it out. Don't give in to your fear, give in to reason."

"Nice Spock façade Ed. Reason says I get rid of it. I mean, it's not like I can handle it, it's not like Kyle could handle it, think of all the bad press, the tabloids would just love this. So I can't just have the baby and give it up, cause everyone would know I was pregnant. My only option to maintain our image and survive this is abortion. I have to."

"Jess," Edward stroked her cheek. "Baby, just talk to Kyle. Don't do anything rash. Okay?"

She snuggled into his chest. "Okay."
