Kowaii
Well it's Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at 1:07am when I wrote this. I've never been a big fan of storms so when a big crack of thunder comes, then I just want to run for the hills. So please enjoy.
Her body shook uncontrollably as she sat on her bed, wishing this wasn't happening. She could feel the tears of fear welling up in her eyes as she shut them tightly. How she hated the storms that were her nonliving nightmare?
Another loud crack came which caused her to jump as she felt the house shake. Even her cat and dog joined her in a vain attempt to comfort each other. Ducking under the covers, she let out a whimper as her reading lamp flickered.
"Kumiko where are you at?" A feminine voice called out as she felt the house shake.
Kumiko swore she wasn't going to stay sane if this continued to happen. In another attempt to comfort herself, she muttered, "Kowaii, Kowaii."
Opening a door, the woman stared at the bundle that was under the blankets. Walking over and pulling them back, she stared at the frightened faces of her girlfriend and their pets.
"Michi don't scare me like that." Kumiko said loudly as she glared at her beloved.
"Gomen."
Another crack filled the air, causing the ebony haired woman on the bed to reach for the covers.
"What did I tell you before Kumi-chan? Fear is an illusion. If you're afraid, come to me." Michi reminded as she crawled onto the bed and grabbed her lover's waist. "I'm here for you like always. I promise."
The verde eyed woman nodded slowly as she leaned onto her lover as she grabbed a tip of unnatural blond hair. Closing the teary eyes, Kumiko felt at peace because of her azure eyed lover's presence. "Kowaii."
"It's scary but only for a little while. Ignore it." Michi instructed as she tried to shield her girlfriend away from mother nature's wrath.
As the storm passed, Michi glanced down to see the peaceful face of her slumbering lover.
Hope you like it. Please review.
