I have always been amazed by the sheer power of man. Look at Hitler and 'Baby Doc' Duvalier, two men who caused the deaths of millions, and for what reason? Greed, Hatred, Entertainment? When man was created, how is not important, a magnificent and horrible thing was borne unto this planet. Love, Hate, Joy, Despair, all emotions are special and unique. They are what make us special and unique. When you look at the basics of our structure, we are virtually all the same. We all have brains, hearts, skin, and basically the same internal structure. We all think that we are so different from everyone else on earth. We think that if someone has great beauty or intelligence that they are immediately better than others. Are we all not people? Are we all not living, breathing, loving creatures. Just because someone is different society tells them that being who they are is wrong. What makes beauty? Is it some higher being blessing certain 'chosen ones?' Is it fate, is it random? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and humans are not advanced enough as a whole to not have their perception jaded by society. One influential person can change the course of history. If they say that thin is beautiful, then thin is beautiful. It they say that eloquence is intelligence, then it is intelligence. If they say that killing for the greater good is what is right, then it is what is right. Will we someday escape this? Will we evolve into higher beings. I do not know. Is their a civilization in another galaxy that is humanoid and advancing at a faster rate than us? I do not know. What I do know is that humans are humans. We all have beauty, intelligence, and morality. We are not better because of our individuality, we are us because of our individuality. If we use our talents to help, then we will all change the course of history, for the better.
