This is a depressing poem I found-yet again- in my notebook. I was actually 10 when I wrote this one, though.

The rain fell down
I reached for the sky
The droplets seemed
to hang in anticipation
The nightingale shall
sing it's song no more
As I will be long gone,
forever after
The cool air passed
by my face
The mist but water in disguise
The sounds of the city below
drown out all else
But the melancholy can't be taken
The fresh smell of the forest is gone
The air threatens to choke me
The roof in which I stand on
Will disappear
Goodbye
