Territory of the Frost

This is my first story, I hope you will like it. I wrote this back at Halloween, but haven't been able to update it till now

Territory of the Frost

At the dead of wintery nights in the Frost Territory there is an angel that goes and kills whoever is unfortunate enough to be caught alone. The victims would be frozen solid with a look of complete terror on their faces. Everyone has caught a glimpse or two of this fallen angel each time after the kills; they call it the Ice Angel.

_Scene Change_

It was dark, around 11:30; two police officers were talking in their car.

"So Tom, you watched the game last night?" The first officer asked.

"No Larry, the wife wanted to watch one of her soap operas." Tom replied.

"Man Tom, she won't even let you watch the games anymore?" Larry asked astounded.

"No, I just promised I'd watch one of her shows with her, that's all" Tom answered.

They went for a half an hour being quiet after that, keeping watch for anything suspicious. After a little while longer they heard a scream that sounded like it was just around the corner.

"Did you hear that! Tom exclaimed to Larry.

"Of course I did! Let's go check it out! Larry replied excitedly.

Tom, who was in the driver's seat started the car and drove it around the corner. When they arrived they saw a man frozen solid, standing in the middle of the street with a look of utter terror on his frozen face. Larry, looking scared, got out of the passenger seat, walked to the frozen man, and began looking around to make sure the culprit responsible for this was gone. When he reached the frozen man and looked at his face he was shocked, and then had a look of remorse on his face.

"Hey Tom this looks like Chris! You know, the bartender!" Larry shouted to Tom.

"I'll report it to HQ; you bring him inside, and then call his wife." Tom ordered Larry.

Larry grabbed the frozen Chris, and went to the nearest building, which happened to be Chris's bar. While Tom grabbed his radio, and contacted HQ, to tell them about what happened to Chris.

"Hey this is Tom we found another victim frozen to death." Tom announced into the radio.

"Was he like the others?" The voice in the radio asked.

"Yes, he was. I had Larry take him inside." Tom replied.

"Is he alone? Are you alone?" The voice asked sternly.

"Yes, to both questions sir. Why?" Tom answered.

"Get back to him! You guys are in danger alone! Remember!" The voice ordered.

Tom hurried and got out of his car and ran to the building to get to Larry, like he was ordered. But as he approached he suddenly felt cold. He looked up and saw the deity responsible for those other murders. It had the form of a young woman, with ice angel wings, and a white dress. Her beauty is compared to the most beautiful angel ever. As he saw her, his face turned to utter terror, he grabbed his gun with shaking hands, and, pointed it at her.

"You're the Ice Angel, aren't you?" He asked with a shaking voice.

"Yes I am, and you are my next victim." She announced calmly, with a beautiful voice.

The last thing he saw after that was a large ice blue cloud coming at him. And just like that he was frozen solid.

Meanwhile Larry was inside Chris' bar, looking out the window. He witnessed his friend die by the Ice Angel. He was scared, traumatized, and, most of all he felt guilty. As he looked on he also noticed that the Ice Angel was coming for him. He got up and ran away from the window, and drew his gun in the process. In his haste to get away he forgot about all his earlier emotions except fear. He stood against the back wall by the heater and the fire in the fireplace.

The Ice Angel reached the door to the bar, and the frightened officer started shooting at the fallen angel. But it was in vain, before the bullets even hit her they were frozen, and lying on the ground.

As the angel slowly got inside, the temperature inside the bar got colder, soon she was half-way between the door and him. The fire died out, the heater stopped working, the alcohol bottle started shattering from the cold, and Larry could see his breath. The Ice Angel was still getting closer to Larry and he was starting to get desperate. He shot some more rounds at her, but, it had the same effect as before. When she was a few feet from him she stopped and said:

"You will be the first to survive an encounter with me."

"Huh?" He said to himself as she left.

A couple minutes later the sun started to rise. With all the commotion he forgot the time. When they heard the scream it was only an hour till the sun rose. He went through the bar, out the door, and, walked to the car and got on the radio.

"HQ…It's me Larry. Tom was killed by the Ice Angel." he announced.

"So we got another victim eh? Pity, he was one of the best" The voice said.

"Also sir I regret to say I quit…Tonight was too much for me to bear." Larry replied.

_Scene Change_

As the Ice Angel went back where it came from, she couldn't help but think that the night before was an unlucky one. A man survived his encounter with her.

'Ah well, there is always tonight.' She thought with a smirk.
