The Road that leads me home

Driving down the road I travel alone
Trying to find my way back home
Miles of highway stretched beneath my feet
Traveling for miles in the summer heat
Places and faces get blurry as I pass by
Stop to take a break, as strangers say hi
Nature surrounds me as I ride
Life has given me no place to hide
Yearning for the place I long to see
Home is exactly where I yearn to be
This journey brings me closer to home
So in the end I'm never alone
The dusty road has become my friend
For it always leads me home again
