SCAR ME

You think I'm beaten down,

You think I don't have the strength to stand.

But even when there's no one else around

Here's what you need to understand,

None of this means I'm weak.

There's nothing wrong with dropping to your knees

It makes you humble

It keeps you meek.

Though I may stumble

I'll find my feet.

So scar me

Do your best to hurt me

Go ahead, try to break me.

You'll never take this part of me.

So scar me.

Because you'll never have apart of me,

At best all you can do is mark me.

When I feel like tribulations and trial always

Find me,

I don't rely on my own heart; no I've got some one

To guide me.

I don't turn in fear though I'm afraid, because I have

More power than I know behind me.

This won't be forever

This too will be severed

So scar me

Do your best to hurt me

Go ahead, try to break me.

You'll never take this part of me.

So scar me.

Because you'll never have apart of me,

At best all you can do is mark me.

And when the wounds heal

And the scratches fade

All were really left with are the memories of the day.

When we overcame the impossible trial

Because we held out for a while,

Past the breaking point

The place of no return

We didn't give up, even when it came our turn.

We found out who we are.

And when all was said and done,

We walk away with only the faintest scar.

So scar me

Do your best to hurt me

Go ahead, try to break me.

You'll never take this part of me.

So scar me.

Because you'll never have apart of me,

At best all you can do is mark me.
