Chapter 22

"Fellow, Undertakers. We have gathered to discuss a problem." Lunaria sat on her 'throne' by the fireplace. "Our funds… Have reached zero."

"So?" Said Lorraine in a bunny mascot suit in her seat. "Oof. It's so hot in here…" She removed the bunny head, revealing Lorraine's sweaty with her hair all messed up.

"You guys just keep buying unnecessary stuff!" Exclaimed Lunaria. "Just because we've got more than 20K in our account doesn't mean you have to spend-"

"WOOOOHOOOO!" A torrent of bubble foam spilled down the marble stairs, followed by Alex and I (in trunks) on a sofa-sized rubber ducky. "Again! AGAIN!" I shouted.

"You see what I mean? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!" Lunaria complained. "HEY! GET YOUR ASSES OVER HERE THIS VERY INSTANT!"

"As I were saying earlier, we cannot afford to spend like this! It is simply unacceptable!" Lectured Lunaria. "We need more gold."

"Then let's go looting then." Suggested Violet.

"I've got something in mind." Bubble-coated Alex said. "Why don't we split up into two teams, each team could go to a different expedition to loot. That way we'll get about twice the money in a certain period of time!"

"Sería entretenido, ¿verdad Lucía?" Lorraine stroked the fur of a little brown tabby cat. Apparently she bought her from a Hispanic server just for fun, however she didn't know that the cat was programmed to only understand Spanish, luckily her mastery of the language was alright, so I guessed it'd be fine. How she managed to get Lucía to an English server was still a mystery.

The kitten gave a little purr and scratched her claws on Lorraine's bunny suit.

"So how should we split the teams?" I (also covered in bubbles) asked.

"Why not we girls be in a team so you boys could be in the other? I'm sure you guys need quality bromance time once in a while?" Proposed Violet. I wasn't sure if she actually wanted to offer us that or just being sarcastic, either way that did hit a nerve. "Any objections?"

*silence*

"Then it's decided!" Violet announced.

"So… Just like the good ol' days huh?" I said as I equipped a new suit from my trunks that had similar properties to my old one.

"Yup, just like the good ol' days." Alex packed some potions into his inventory as soon as he had changed.

Freeze carried over a few pieces of fish over to him.

"It has been quite a while since we had that much fun." I gave my scythe a polish as I remembered a childhood memory of having this little 'war' with rowdy elementary schoolers when we were in kindergarten. Though we didn't stand a tiny chance, it was fun to have a fight back then.

"I'm all set and got a place in mind. Ready?"

"Yar. Let's go."

The two of us with Freeze clinging onto Alex's head walked down the marble stairs, heading for the black oak doors.

"Wait!" We heard Lunaria shouting from behind.

We turned around to find her catching her breath with two leather backpacks in her arms.

"Take…Take them… A…Alex, you'll know what you'll do with them…" She handed one of them to him and the other to me.

"Thanks, good luck on your trip too." He nodded with gratitude.

"Err… Cheers." I had no idea what to do with it. The backpack didn't even have an opening. I could only see two straps for my arms and a little leather string sticking out of it. Without much thought, I chucked it into my inventory.

"Your sister wants you to have this." Lunaria emptied an armful of health potions from her inventory into my arms.

"Great, please thank her for me. We'll see you around. " I said as I stuffed them all into mine. 99 health potions. Typical.

So we walked down the greens of daisies and daffodils we'd once did as noobs. We stepped on to the clay bricks of the portal that brought us to this flowery paradise.

"So where exactly are we going?" I asked.

"Oh, you'll see… I think you'll like it." Alex smiled. "Teleport… to Ascensus"
