A boy there was, of darkened hair
Who walked the world when it was yet fair.
He looked around for adventure
And far and wide he did venture
To look for the forgotten realms
Where warriors yet wore swords, shields, and helms.
But alas, he never found them
Only in books, for fantasies were condemned
In this modern world in which he lived.
But he resisted
And remembered the stories
Told society where to stick its mad ideas
And lived the rest of his life believing
In fairy tales, in swords and valor
In courage and honor
And bravery.
Needless to say, he was a better person for it,
So what is the moral of today's story?
Besides the fact that society is a b*tch,
Always believe in things that old stories teach
Because they are right and true
(That and society might think twice about messing with you.)
