In the cold of the night, I opened my eyes and
saw my breath before me: Slowly escaping the
place within that holds all those things that keep
me together. I heard a noise above me and
reminded myself that this was not my home, but
someone else's; strange noises do happen.
I stared into my smartphone, trying to memorize
Lorem Ipsum and recounting the events that
brought me to that place.
Another noise, but this time, an animal. Not
my imagination, not a monster. I was not yet
at that time to the conclusion that perhaps
moving on was the right idea. As a matter of
fact, I truly believed that his hands would be
in mine forever.
And so on, and so on.
