Yay, my second attempt at a story! I know I haven't been doing much of a good job with my stories... or people are just

impatient, but this one is way different than my other story, it is not as slow as the last one. The action comes quite

quckily, so this is a faster paced kind of ! And remember, comments appriciated!

Prologue

In a beautiful Kingdom of magic and dreadful creatures named Praecantatio, lived a young of 7 with his kind and religious parents in a small wooden house. His father was a tall powerful wizard, faithful to the King of Praecantatio, and his mother was a medium tall priestess. It was a beautiful evening, the warm autumn air blowing through their windows, and the family was in the living room, reading book after book of magic spells. The boy's favorite was a powerful and special one, one about an extraordinary wizard who saved the land from an evil ruthless leader. "Daddy, can you read me that wizard story again? I want to hear it again! I love how powerful Acacius is!"

"Of course, my dear Caleb, I know how much you love that story," the boy's father said taking out the book from in between their two old couches. The book's name was: Legends of Acacius; the great wizard. The man began to read and the child listened eagerly. "Long ago, there was a great and powerful wizard, guardian of the kingdom and master of every type of magi: water, fire, earth, air, energy, ice, and light…"

The young wizard's eyes widen at the mention of the types and continued to listen with the same interest and enthusiasm as his education in wizardry. For two hours, the wizard continued to tell the story and the child continued to listen. The last few words slipped from the man's mouth and he finished the story. Once he did so, Caleb suddenly said: "One day, when I'm much older, I want to go and find him and be just like him with your kindness and bravery!"

"If you continue to study hard, you might meet him on your journey around the kingdom, my boy."

Caleb's eyes brighten. "You really think I'll meet him?"

"Yes, definitely; you have a hidden power that would interest even the Great Wizard. You know I once went on long journey when I was twice your age. I went on the journey because my parents had died in a terrible war. I wanted to find the great wizard myself so that I may save more lives, I did but not to save the kingdom, but to learn all I know now."

"Who did save the kingdom then?"

"King Blaesus, of course."

The boy's eyes widen. "Is that how he became our king?"

"Yes."

"Cool! You've been through some events haven't you?"

"Yes, but I hope it doesn't happen as bad to you, my boy. Now, Caleb, it's time for you to go to bed. Tomorrow we are walking into the castle."

"Yay!" the boy said and headed to bed.

Morning arrived and young Caleb woke up with a start, the smell of smoke and fire wafted through his room. His small plain room was cloaked in the suffocating smoke, making his eyes water and cough. He opened the door to his room and saw flames licking at his parents' bedroom across from his. "Mom! Dad!" he cried out, no sound. Suddenly, he heard the familiar hissing of lizards.

"Ssssspread out and find the boy!" a deep authority filled voice said and Caleb heard the shuffling of their feet. He ran in the opposite direction as the lizards' footsteps neared, and fled for his life, leaving behind everything he knew and loved…
