Hands will clasp in silent prayer,
alone with love tonight,
embarking on a voyage fair
till dream and day unite.
All I want to do is sleep,
twilight and I entwined,
soul concealed within this keep
where no shadow can find.
Not once have I seen my Love's face
but though this may be so,
these nights I rest in His embrace
cradled in mercy's glow.
Neither moon nor sun can harm
us children, from their skies;
hidden in His arms
we smile up and close our eyes.
