I saw something that day, something I couldn't forget

I felt something that day, something I would regret

I know now that it could never be true

I tried to suppress what I felt wanting to take it back

I felt connected to you for you had something I lack

A strong will, a resilient drive and a tough spirit that won't break

I tried hiding my feelings for you to preserve our friendship at stake

I know that it could never happen but I can't let you go

I still love you, and I thought that you should know

That you mean the world to me, but our friendship means more

I still love you, but I want things to back to the way they were before

My heart still aches and my eyes still weep

At night I find it almost impossible to sleep

You are the source of my pain but with you I can't do without

I'm still in pain but I really want to try and work this out
