It was another rough day

Full of heartache and tears

The world seemed to crumble

From the form it'd held for years

Silent tears slid down my cheeks

Like rain on a window's glass

Sad eyes looked out at stormy clouds

Reflecting upon the past

The next thing I knew

My world got a little brighter

In walked my brother

Wearing a smile, none the wiser

He gave me a look so pure at heart

It made the tears fall faster

He took my hand and said

"You're being looked after."

Seeing my confused expression

He looked at the middle of my room

His smile grew a little more

Brighter than the sun or moon

Gripping my hand tight he said

"The Bride's watching over you.

She loves you very much.

You should love her, too."

I must have looked even more confused

For he shook his head and frowned

He made me stand up from the desk

And turned my body around

I saw an empty bedroom

Nothing special there

But he insisted there was a Bride

I looked everywhere

The next words he said

Made me cry all the more

"There's an angel standing there,

The Bride near your door."

That day I learned my brother

As small as he was that day

Saw my guardian angel

When I fell to disarray

Know that you're never alone

There's an angel always there

Mine's a Bride dressed in white

And I know she truly cares
