"Till the stars fade and the mountains wear away."

"Till the wind stops and fire ceases to warm."

With the words, they smiled at each other. Each said the traditional vow according to their element.

"Now we just have to tell everyone."

Nora chuckled. "I don't think they'll be surprised."

Tiffany smiled as Stephan put his arm around Nora's waist. They were so cute together. Nora had a bit of a spitfire attitude and Stephan thought it was adorable.

"So what's the big announcement?" Thomas asked.

Nora rolled her eyes. "It's not a big announcement."

"It is, too," Stephan said. "That's how I said it to him. That I had an announcement that was huge."

She snorted. "Is not."

"You just don't like the attention."

"Are you engaged?" Tiffany asked.

Nora gave her an odd look. "Dragons don't have an engagement period. We court, then we mate."

"We're mated," Stephan said, his eyes sparkling with the news.

Tiffany squealed and Tim and Thomas both congratulated them. "Can we have a party?" Tiffany asked.

"Yes," Stephan said.

"No." Nora scowled at him. "You always want a party."

"But, Nora, it's a good reason to have one. Dancing, good food, maybe Isaiah and Zach will visit," he wheedled.

She debated for a while, then nodded. "No dancing."

"All right." But the wink he gave Tiffany said that he would keep trying.
