What is it with me and these rhyming poems? I must be digging up these ones from so long ago… This is the only happy poem I have ever written that isn't plain crap.

Daisies in a meadow

Blushing in the sun

Grass blades shine bright green

Urge you to have fun

Tall towered trees

Looming overhead

Running dashing, playing, tagging

Till it's time for bed

Dreaming of bright apple pies

Aroma sweet and deep

Watching Millie housecat

For a mouse she leaps

Tumbling river valley

Misty ocean morns

Twisting rocky paths

Under no such scorn

Seamless rubber balls

Yellow lemon rinds

Bouncing, skipping, splashing,

Such a lovely find

Fire in orange emerald

Jaded crystal jewel

Many library books

Time to be renewed

Happy simple joys

More than one or two

But one thing's for sure

One of mine is you!
