Mia shook her head in disgust as Simone shoved yet another handful of popcorn into her already full mouth.

"See Cinna, I told yous I could shuff more tha fiff hand fulls of popcorn in my mouf!" She yelled in triumph. Ciena rolled her eyes as Simone somehow manage to swallow the immense amounts of popcorn. "Now pay up!" She said loudly while holding her hand out. Ciena groaned and got up off of the pile of blankets she was tangled up in, walked over to her duffle bag, rummaged around in it, and then pulled out a crisp five dollars. She then proceeded to walk back to Simone and give it to her. She made a victory call and showed the bill to Mia and Lauren.

The group consisted of Simone, who people called Simon, Ciena, who was called Cinna, Lauren, or Lawrence, and Mike, whose real name is Mia. They made it a group thing to call each other by male names, and the concept spread through Stanford's campus.

Lauren jumped up off of the ground and grabbed the remote.

"Now girls, Shall we watch Matt Smith, David Tennent, or Christopher Eccleston?" She asked, holding a DVD box set containing the seasons starring the 9-11 forms of Doctor Who. As if planned, the three other girls simultaneously yelled to watch David. Lauren nodded, opened the DVD player, and put in the first disk. Simone pulled her dirty blonde hair into a ponytail, put down the bowl of popcorn, and snuggled deeper into her sleeping bag. Ciena, with her blood red hair, took her place back in the pile of spare blankets, but not after grabbing the bowl of popcorn to make sure Simone could not get her hands on it. Lauren took off her headband and let her curly brown locks fall loose, and went to sit on a bunch of pillows and lean against the couch. Mia flipped her copper bangs out of her eyes and lay down on her air mattress.

The four friends were all in the living room of the apartment Simone shared with her boyfriend, Chandler. She had kicked him out so that the girls could have their Doctor Who nerd night. Chandler had gone down to Ciena's house to hang out with her boyfriend. Lauren's boyfriend was probably there too, as well as their friend Tony.

As the episode began to start, the girls began to talk.

"Jackson and I were able to find a company who would give us the money to start our company!" Ciena announced. She and her boyfriend Jackson were trying to start their own graphic tee company. The girls all congratulated her and promised that they would be her first customers. "I can't wait. We are going to finalize the business proposal with the company this weekend!" She let out a large smile and a content sigh. Lauren started next.

"My dad is finally getting an actual bartender for his bar and grill. He finally realized that my step mom is scaring away the customers." She said sourly. Everyone laughed.

"What would she do?" Mia asked. Lauren shuddered.

"She'd wear halter tops." She answered. Simone pretended to gag, having been the only one to see Lauren's step mom.

"Why is that so bad?" Mia asked, confused.

"She's had four kids." Lauren simply stated. Ciena and Mia both winced at the thought. They turned towards the TV and watched for a bit.

"Tony has to propose to me in the school play!" Mia yelled from the silence.

"That's great!" Ciena said happily. Lauren nodded in agreement.

Simone burst out laughing as Mia flushed furiously.

"Really, Mike? You like Tony?" She said between guffaws.

"Eww…" Simone said while still laughing. Mia looked at her with a stunned look on her face.

"That is so mean! What's wrong with him?" She asked defensively.

"Simon, shut your face." Lauren said with her British accent. Simone managed to stop her laughter after a few minutes, and turned to her group of friends. Ciena threw popcorn at Simone and proceeded to try and get her to shut up to spare her friend's feelings. Simone ate the popcorn and turned back to Mia, who had an insulted look on her face.

"What's wrong with Tony?" She yelled. Lauren and Ciena backed her up with a few 'yeah what's wrong with him?'s. Simone put her hands up in defense and flipped her blonde and blue hair over her shoulder before defending her point.

"He has Groucho Marx eyebrows and has brown eyes." She said while wrinkling her nose in dislike. Mia scoffed at what she said.

"He is A-D-O-R-I-B-L-E." She said quickly.

"But his eyebrows…"

"Yeah, Simon, not everyone can have a hot blonde tall guy for a boyfriend." Ciena said as Lauren giggled.

"Fiancée actually…" Simone whispered.

Everyone's faces fell.

"What?" Lauren asked.

Simone smiled sheepishly and put her hand in her pocket.

"Well, you know how I graduated two days ago?" Simone asked. They all nodded. Simone skipped a grade because she was let into college early with a music scholarship, so she graduated sooner than all of her friends. She pulled her hand out of her pocket. On her ring finger was an engagement ring. It was silver with a rainbow opal in the center. "He proposed." All three girls launched out of their spots and nearly ripped her hand off to try and get a look at it.

"Holy Crap Simon, why didn't you tell us? Here we are going on about my interest in Tony when you are about to be Mrs. Clarce!" Mia spazzed. Simone was the first one to get proposed to.

"Holy Shit, that is gorgeous!" Ciena yelled.

"It's my birth stone. He remembered that." Simone explained. All the girls 'aww'ed and nudged her a couple times.

"So how did he propose?" Lauren questioned.

"He proposed right after the ceremony. We were taking group pictures with my family, and he ran over. We took a couple pictures just to two of us, and on the middle of one he just got down and proposed. It was great. The photographer was smart enough to take a bunch of pictures, so we have pictures of my reaction."

"You must show me later, okay?" Ciena said. Simone nodded.

They spent a good ten minutes fussing over the ring. They were so focused on the ring that they almost missed Chandler walk into the room. He was followed by the rest of the boys.

"I bring beer!" He exclaimed. The girls turned towards the door and gave him the puppy dog look simultaneously. It was the look that said 'bring me beer'. He sighed in defeat. "I can't deny the look when Simone gives it to me, so how can you expect me to deny all four of you? Though this is what you get when your fiancée's friends are just as lazy as she is." He added. He grabbed two beers and walked over to the couch where Simone was. She got up, grabbed a beer, and screamed as he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her down so that she was lying down with her back pressed against his chest. Jackson did the same with the beer but went to Ciena. He gave her a chaste peck on the lips and sat down next to her while handing her one of the drinks. Samuel, Lauren's boyfriend, did the same. Tony grabbed the last two beers and walked over to a blushing Mia. They sat about a foot away from each other and gave each other flirty looks.

"Cheers!" Jackson yelled. They all took sips and then proceeded to watch the Doctor solve yet another problem.
