The pathetic fury of you
Like King Canute
You rage at the waves
Like a vampire
You cringe at the light of day
your ego lolls on crippled sticks
Spite
Wraps Tight
in a humourless twist of
lips
The centre of your clamped, cruel little world,
you seethe.
You take steps to ensure I can't breathe.
And I say no.
no
no
no
(looking at this thing, this wretched, unspeakable thing)
no no no
I WILL NEVER BE YOU -
But
your padlocked
jaw
and
compassionless
stare
Tell me I'm already there.
