If I were to die before saying farewell,
Wait for the twilight, then carry my soul
To the sea, and leave it among the shells.
Wait for the first blue star, and watch it roll
The waves gently. Give it a ship built with
Unfinished thoughts and a noble goal.
Give it a compass that points to the fifth
Shadow on the moon. Give it a white sail
Of a true story, and a candle of myth.
When the sky is covered in the dark veil
Of sleep, it will arrive to a faraway shore,
And follow the scent of a dream's trail.
Give it light wings of hope and it will soar
Over the mountains. Then the stars will start
To fall gracefully dancing before.
Finally when the red sun breaks apart
From the horizon, it will float down slowly
Towards your tears, and land on your heart.
