I Can Sit
I can sit at a window.
I can look out.
There may be people or
animals or
scenery out of the
window.
And I can see it.
I can sit at my desk.
I can slide my
headphones over my
ears and listen to
pop, rock or country.
And I can hear it.
I can sit in the kitchen.
A plate of hot
food glides towards me
and I pick up my
cutlery and eat.
And I can taste it.
I can sit in my garden.
I wander over to
the rose bush and
hold a flower to
my nose.
And I can smell it.
I can sit on my own.
Instead, I could
have many people
around me, all
talking and laughing.
And I can live it.
