A poem I wrote after being told that the woman I used to visit everyday before I moved had passed away. It's not my best, but I wanted to post it anyway, to honor her in some way since I missed her funeral. In Loving Memory
Her heart was so full of love,
It hurts to know she is gone.
But we shouldn't cry for her,
She is now safe and sound up above.
I still remember all those hats she wore,
And the art that covered her walls, the one she gave me.
But we should smile through the tears,
Because she's happy now and she doesn't hurt anymore.
Kind and gentle, Ms. Judy Murray,
I'll never forget how her eyes lit up whenever she saw me.
Like the picture I was given, she is now as that fairy,
We should rejoice, for she now flies high and free.

A/N: I know it's not my best work, but it was an assignment few days after I found out. We were told to write about what the music made us think of, and I thought of the sweet woman I used to visit at the nursing home every day after school before we moved. It's taken me a while to get it on here, but I wanted to honor her in some way since I missed her funeral. Please review, but please be gentle on this one.
