the guy Ive been seeing told me he loved me today... yay me!

Mars stood out on his front lawn with his little brothers, 6 year old Phobos and Deimos. They were adorable, brown hair, green eyed twins. The only thing wrong with them was their fear of practically everything. Mars was determined to toughen them up for the future. This was why they were doing jumping jacks when Earth stopped by to greet them since lives right next to Mars.

Mars grunted when Earth got close.

After watching Earth and Venus hug earlier today, the normally mellow feelings he held for Earth was replaced with anger and annoyance.

Earth laughed, unaware of the change in Mars. "Why can't you take them out for ice cream like a normal big brother?"

"Real men don't eat ice cream." Mars grumbled. "They're too tiny. I'm going to make them strong like a warrior."

Earth shook his head. "Hey kids!" He walked towards the working children. They stopped and smiled brightly at him.

"Mars says we're gonna be warriors!" Phobos said with a grin. The twins sincerely idolized their older, tougher brother. It was nice to have company like Earth over from time to time though.

"You can always tell him that you're happy just being yourself." Earth said, eying Mars for his reaction. The twins turned to Mars who had cracked his knuckles. They turned back to Earth with watery eyes and muttered a "No thank you," before going back to their jumping jacks. "You scare them too ya know."

"My job will be done when they stop being afraid."

Earth shrugged. "Venus isn't afraid of you."

"Why the hell would you bring him up? A girly girl like him is worthless."

Earth just watched Mars for a minute. Besides anger, it was hard to tell what else Mars was feeling at any given moment. "You must think its refreshing to have Venus be the only one to be so unafraid of you though right?" To Earth, all the fighting between Mars and Venus was just pent up sexual frustration. Earth, more than anyone, saw a bright passion between Mars and Venus.

"It would be refreshing if he hit the gym and gained some muscle. Maybe then I could respect him."

Earth chuckled. "Sure-sure, muscles. Venus was worried you know, when you got hurt that time. He doesn't want to admit it. He almost cried." Almost.

After a long pause, with Earth watching for a change in Mars's face, the red head says, "Tell him I'm not easily snuffed out."
