Circles

The trust we once had is circled
in red
The edges are blurred
What's that you said?

Roots are beaten
Black and blue
Forever I'll say,
What good are you?

Counteracting your ties
Snapping the strings
And Cutting your lies-

Breaking your hostage
Free and cold
That will never live
Another day old.

Like a fly in trap
wriggling it's way free
The unexpected predator

Hangs from the leaves

Eyes like crystals,
Too many to count
Each one sees a body
Ready to pounce.

But who's that in the corner?
The corner of your eye?
There in the shadows,
it be an apparent war cry!

Red circles are drawn
From your skin it flows
The line of surrender
A gash to show.

Blurred are now the edges

That be trust I see

Dripping its way down

Into a plain and twisted uncertainty.

Author Note: I have never written poetry before, so I thought I'd give it a go. And this is the result. Its not the best by a long shot, but I am just giving it a go :) Thankyou for reading.
