Chapter one- The Dream
It was me, alone, with a stake in my hand. I'd never held a stake before, but I knew one thing I'd never win, and this time I knew I wouldn't survive. I was out numbered, even if there was just one of them, I'd still be out numbered.
The creatures, their cold hard eyes staring, but not really seeing. They were beautiful in a way, with their pale skin and silky hair.
Creatures, that's what they are, Monsters. Their teeth, those fangs had ripped out the throats of everybody, my friends. My family. All the more reason to kill them I thought.
They'd killed everybody I knew, but they made killing my parents the worst. They didn't let me know. All that I'd been told about my parent's deaths was that it was 'A Tragic Accident'. The stake felt cold and heavy in my hand. Uncomfortable. I needed to use it, but I didn't know how.
This isn't fair, I thought, it's me with a stake, no communication, trying to fight of a humungous vampire clan, and with no way out of it.
My protection charm was failing, I could feel it, I only had about two minutes left. Two minutes left to live. I don't know why I did what I did next, but I did it anyway. I turned the protection charm off. And the creatures knew that I did, I could see the change in their faces, they looking more dangerous. But they didn't attack.
"WHY AREN'T YOU ATTACKING?" I yelled. They started to laugh. It was then that I realized, the creatures were waiting for me to attack one of them.
So I leapt, and struck. The stake sank straight into a chest, I didn't know whose it was, I had my eyes closed tight. I opened them, the creature that the pointed wood had gone into, wasn't even a full creature. It was him. He'd come to rescue me, he could have reasoned with them. My only chance of escape, and I'd killed it.
His sky blue eyes looked hurt, not physically, but emotionally. They were moving, up from the stake, with his blood staining the polished wood, and into my own dark blue eyes.
"Why?" It was the last word that came out of his mouth. I killed him, and that's when it happened, they attacked.
I didn't know what was happening at first, I was staring, not thinking about anything, just staring at his blank blue eyes. The twinkle was gone. I'd sworn to protect him, not out loud, but to myself, when I first saw his silky blonde hair, and the bright twinkle in his eyes.
A cold hand on my shoulder was what brought me back to the real world, of what was actually happening, in the present. But I was brought back to late, the teeth had already sunk into my flesh, my veins. It was painful, and cold, but it felt like I was flying through the sun...
This is my first story on here and if you like it please review and tell me if/how i can make it better please .
