My eyes were fixated on the laptop screen as another fight scene started. The door opened and a sliver of light fell across my bed, penetrating the darkness in my room. Cassius's hand flicked inside the doorway, and I was blinded by the sudden brightness. "We're raiding a museum tonight, chop chop, get a move on you pathetic whelp."

Yesterday I had yelled at Cassius sand made him apologize to Maiara, so now he uses every chance he gets to insult me. "That's great, maybe you might learn something." I smiled as he shot me a dirty look, then watched as he disappeared out into the hallway.

Wystan reluctantly turned off the move as I said, "We can finish it later, okay?"

He nodded and I climbed over the edge of the bed. Wystan followed as my laptop shut down, then Maiara came in saying she had something for me to try on. Wystan left to get changed, which left me with no excuse not to follow Maiara into her white bedroom.

While she rummaged through her seemingly disorganized closet, I looked around her room. Papers were stacked in heaps on her desk, a pile of clothes sat in the back corner, and the top of her dresser was covered in various personal items. Normally I'd feel a bit intimidated by a white room, but one that wasn't kept spotless, had the opposite effect.

Maiara came back out, holding a pair of black stilettos, and a matching sparkly cocktail dress. "I can't wear those, I'll break my face!"

"You'll be fine."

"Not in heels that skinny, in case you hadn't got the memo, I own nothing but sneakers, and one pair of boots."

She sighed, irritated, then threw the dress at me, before going back to her closet. Actually liking this dress, I tried it. Maiara came out just in time to absorb my doubtful expression, and reassure me that I looked fine.

I still wasn't really convinced, but she gave me a shorter pair of heels. After trying them on I was sad to find they actually fit, so much for digging out my pair of flats. "Do you have any black nail polish?" I knew for a fact all my nail polish had failed to make their way to Arizona, so I was hoping Maiara would at least have one bottle.

"Ummm…" She trailed off and began looking through all the stuff on her dresser. It didn't take long for her to turn around, "Yup." She handed me the bottle and I proceeded to take off the heels, before standing.

Maiara insisted that she would do my hair, so before going to the bathroom, I grabbed my makeup bag.

Perched on the edge of the tub, Maiara set out to make me look presentable. As I started to paint my toenails, Cassius came in just to lean against the wall and glare at me. Taking in the uncharacteristic suit, I thought of a mafia member.

A small smile played at the corner of my lips and I imagined him pulling out a semi-automatic handgun and shooting up a room full of people. If only the suit was white. "What's so funny?"

"You." Cassius pouted and twitched his tail, muttering unintelligibly. Finishing, I stood up so Maiara could finish pinning up the back of my hair. The front hung limply in front of my face, and over my shoulders.

Once finished I let Maiara do my make-up, before retrieving my shoes. Cassius left me in the hall to retrieve something in his room. This left me and Wystan to regroup at the bottom of the stairs.

Cassius showed up shortly after swinging the keys back and forth, obviously in a good mood. His cat ears and tail slowly disappeared as he led the way out into the vast complex of hallways.

My stomach was in knots as we boarded the elevator to descend into the parking level. I can't believe I'm getting involved in robbing museum. The fact that even in the movies, museum heists didn't go well only seemed to make me even more anxious.

The thick metal doors slid open as I stepped out onto the unusually cold cement floor. A shiver ran down my spine as we crossed the large room. Lights flashed on the black car as Cassius unlocked the doors.

Climbing in next to Wystan, Cassius was left all alone in the front seat, while I asked, "So what exactly are we doing?"
