Lucien's thoughts, my birthday, August 25th 1994.

Most guardian angels live well on earth, staying faithful and pure. But there are the ones whose emotions and feelings take over, and they fall to earth and live lives of sin and regret like the humans down with them. Some guardian angels choose to get to know their mortal on a personal level, becoming a close friend, there to help them and protect them. Others choose to live like ghost being a shadow, silent, but always there. I haven't been assigned to a mortal yet. Believe it or not being an angel of any kind requires training. I know the stories, and I know that pretty much every mythological creature in human histories exist. Not that many of the humans actually know that. They listen to those stories for enjoyment and a little scare, never realizing that many of the threats in them are real.

Our greatest fear, the greatest abomination to my kind, is the Nephilim. The Nephilim are children of fallen angels and humans, they are a disgrace to life. They also are taken advantage of in Cheshvan, meaning the bitter month, is the only month in the year without a Jewish holiday; hence the name, the bitter month. Cheshvan is the month of October. During this month fallen angels are able to take control of an unwilling Nephilim who is seventeen and on, for two weeks.

All of that Nephilim history is coming together right before my eyes. I am sitting here in the clouds, watching over the birth of one of these creatures. All of the angels are. I've heard of some Nephilim living an entire forty years without knowing what they are, only when they notice they are not getting older when, no change has occurred in them they know something is different; that they are. Most don't get that lucky, most are pursued the day they turn seventeen forced into swearing fealty to a fallen angel, forever. Of course some of them don't live long. You see if a fallen angel wants a human body, to acquire it they must kill the descendant of their Nephilim vassal. Doing that is the one and only way to kill a Nephil.

This Nephil would be completely different; there is a completely unique aura about her, a kind of purity, which had never been in any Nephilim before. Funny how I said that people have no idea that the myths are real, funny how some of the myths themselves don't know they exist, and some of them find out the hard way.
