your bright teeth all i can see:
smile huge. huge and
run away from your own lies
and my tunnel vision.

because you, darling, are a caricature of yourself,
larger-than-life, bigger than the big picture.
& how do you stand it?
i'd crumble under that self-inflicted pressure.

- it's worth it, you insist,
& i close my eyes, breaking for you.

("everything's uglier close up.")
(but, "not you.")

an. "everything's uglier close up" "not you" taken from paper towns by john green. read. it. now.
