It's almost the end of summer and college classes are about to pick back up in a couple of weeks. At this time of the year is when your girl friends call you for help with shopping or your guys friend throw end of the summer parties but lately things have been off. They don't drop by like they used to so they can watch your 55' inch flat screen. They haven't been calling you to go out. No emails or IM's from them either.

After five days of this you become desperate and check on chat rooms. They're empty. You leave your apartment in hopes of finding humanity. No luck. The only noise you hear is from the automated Rail outside. No one answers your knocks, the surrounding buildings are dark and locked up, and there's no car movement anywhere.

You finally decide to give up looking and head home. As you approach your door you see underneath the 302 sign, a little sticky note. On it reads:

"Turns out the guy in room 302 really could sleep through the end of the world."

"Oh shit." You mutter as your fingers run through your hair.
