Live behind a frozen mask,

A breathing shadow bathed in night.

You feel only nothing.

Nothing is all right.

Don't feel sorrow, Don't feel pain.

Do not grieve and do not cry.

Would that you could live,

But the dead can never die.

Don't Feel, Don't cry.

Your heart beat halted long ago.

Would that you had noticed,

Would that you could know.

A candle on an altar

For the dead that did not die.

Would that you could live.

Would that you could try.

You locked your heart in

Winter's Ice and Cold and Storm.

Would the ice could melt

And would that you could warm.

A prayer beneath the stars

For the snow and cold and rain.

A hundred shimmering scars

To mark the one who felt no pain.

A cherished shattered dream

For the one that could not feel,

A beaten battered hope dreams,

Dreams that you could heal.

A candle on an altar

For one who could not cry.

A candle on an altar

For the one who's yet to die.

A breath behind a frozen mask,

A shadow's heart beat dead within.

A battle for a future,

For a dream, that none could win.
