A/N: I am so sorry. Seriously, I send my apologies from the bottom of my heart. I honestly have no clue when the finale is going to be done. I can't even get a hold of Genius #1. So, I give you this, and promise that I'll get the finale to you sometime soon.

Yours truly,

Genius #2

Lavender walked through the door, leaving it open behind her. Most of the family, with the exclusion of herself and Terenita, was gathered in living room, watching more news reports about the photo of Poe.

"Lav, you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," Rami asked as the blonde walked into the room.

"I'm not entirely sure I haven't," Lavender said softly. As confused looks got shot around the room, Lavender turned to the door just as Percy walked into the room, holding an unconscious Terenita in his arms.

"Tery!" Dyce exclaimed running over to help her.

"Ciara's fine. She just fainted when she saw me," Percy said. Chills went up Lavender's spine. It had been so long since she had heard Percy's voice, that rough tone, with the splash of Spanish accent still remaining from his early years. Then there were his eyes, that rich, chocolate brown. Only Terenita could mimic those eyes. Meanwhile, those eyes were watching Dyce, who had taken Terenita from Percy and set her on the sofa, every now and then glancing back suspiciously at the tall man in the doorway.

"Smith, right? I saw you a few times back at the Lab, but I guess we never really met," Percy said casually.

"No, I guess we didn't. If you are Percy, or course," Dyce stated blatantly. The spike-haired man stood and looked leveled with Percy. "And it's Dyce, not Smith." He pointed down to the unconscious brunette. "She is Terenita, not Ciara. The girl behind you, her name is Lavender. Dip-shit here is Poe. Those two over there are Aquanette and Rami. And the sexy lady behind me is Toni."

"Toni? That's not that far off from Antoinette. And what did Jones do? And what's with the new names?" Percy asked. "What happened to the Izabella and Aurora and everyone I knew?"

"They died," Toni hissed, "in the fire that Percy supposedly died in."

"Seriously, we checked the site a week after the fire. We were in the woods all that time after. There was no one else there. Why should we believe you are who claim to be?" Aquanette ranted. Rami grabbed her arms gently and pulled her back to him.

"Chill Auror- er, Aquanette. What do I need to do to prove to you guys that I'm Percy?" The group glanced back and forth at each other.

"Tell us exactly what happened on the day of the incident," Lavender exclaimed, without even thinking about it.

"Fine," Percy stated, taking a seat on the edge of the sofa where Terenita was lying, still unconscious. "It was a warm, autumn day. Very clear skies, nice weather, around fifteen degrees- Celsius, of course. I guess that'd be around sixty in Fahrenheit? Anyways, it was a nice day. We had pancakes for breakfast, croque monsieurs for lunch, and I think stew for dinner. You have to admit, they did feed us well," he looked to his audience for some sort of response, but they all stared strictly. He gulped and continued. "Experiments were running routinely, up until that Evan kid got in trouble. He tried to run out during experimentation, and it took the Faculty a good twenty minutes to find the kid and get him back to the Lab.

"If I recall correctly, Fiona went up for experimenting next, but she was always so squeamish, so she ended up making things run even later. They were running a good half an hour late before Jones- I mean, Poe, was it? Anyways, he went in, and then the quiet girl, I think her name was Gabi, and then I was supposed to go.

"Well, I went in there, but not like it was some normal day. I managed to get my hands on some matches some other kid stole-"

"What other kid?" Dyce snapped.

"Well, I got them from Ellie, but she didn't tell me where she got them," Percy stated. Dyce pouted a little. Damn, I know that's true. I'm the one who stole the matches, and gave them to that Ellie girl since she had heating problems in her room. Could he really be telling the truth? Dyce thought to himself.

"Anyways, I knew that that day was the day they got in their gasoline that they used as energy for the place, so I devised a plan to try and start a big fire, in hopes of killing at least a good chunk of the Faculty. Then hopefully us experiments could escape. So as soon as I found my chance, I slipped away and made a run for it to where they kept the gasoline. A couple other guys were already there- Wyatt, Thaniel, and Jimmy," he added, glancing cockily towards Dyce, "They helped. We knocked down a ton of the barrels of gasoline, I think a couple Faculty members may have been killed or at least injured on impact of the blows from the barrels. Then, I lit a match, threw it, and ran like hell.

"But we didn't get very far, when we heard an explosion. Wyatt and Jimmy were a bit further back than Thaniel and I, and they got caught in the explosion. The only good part was that we were pretty sure most of the Faculty was dead now too. Anyways, so then this weird smoke filled the air, and it didn't quite smell right. Thaniel and I knew something was up, so we ran around slamming on doors trying to alert people and get them out of the building. Before long Thaniel and I got split up, and no matter how many doors I knocked on, no one was coming out. I freaked, so I just ran. I got out of the building, and ran for what seemed like hours.

"Eventually, I made it to this small town. I told some people that I had been in a car accident, and couldn't remember anything. I got some medical attention, and a few weeks later went back to the scene of the Lab. Everything was ash and rubble. I searched the woods, but no one was there. I guess you guys had left by then. I hitchhiked around Canada for a while, but when winter cam I opted to head down south, so I snuck across the boarder, and hung out down south for a while. A couple weeks ago, I made my way here, but I kept swearing that I was seeing ghosts. It was just here though, so I decided to stay and investigate. Turns out it was only you guys though."

"And nothing else happened?" Lavender asked.

"Well, there is one thing," Percy said hesitantly. "Promise not to freak out?"

Suddenly, a small flame appeared in Percy's palm. He played with it for a bit, showing off his power to his friends.

"Weird, huh?"

Aquanette aimed her hand at a vase, and lifted some water out, that then carried over to Percy's palm, and put out the fire, causing the tan skinned man's jaw to drop open.

"We've seen weirder," the petite blonde stated, putting the water back in the vase.

The group talked for a while, and Percy learned of everyone else's powers, new lives, and so on, while he told them of his stories from being on the road. Terenita eventually woke up, but Percy just told her that they'd talk later, just the two of them. After a few hours, everyone agreed to go to bed and went up to their rooms, Percy going with his twin sister so they could have their talk.

However, only minutes after arriving in his room, Dyce heard a knock at his door. He walked over to find Lavender standing there.

"What do you want, Lav? And make it quick. Toni's in the closet putting on something sexy, and I don't want to miss seeing her come out."

"That's not Percy."

"What?"

"Or if it is something is definitely wrong with him."

"Why do you say that? His description of that day was perfect, spot on. There's no way someone could fake that."

"But he left out something huge that happened that day. He and I got into a huge fight, and we broke up. We had only been dating for a few months, but still. You think he'd remember something like that."

Dyce smirked.

"Should've known."

"So what are we going to do?"

"We're going to set a trap. Figure out who he's working for, and end this before it gets a chance to start." Lavender nodded with a mischievous smile. "But until then, I'm going to go f*ck my girlfriend. Night."

And with that, he slammed the door in her face, and Lavender returned downstairs, thinking to herself.

Silly boy. You don't mess with the Howletts.
