Hey, it's Bunny! I wrote this ages ago, but today I tried to convert it from my I-Pod to my school computer and accidentally deleted it. So I had to start fresh and I changed a few things. Like at first, it was first person, now it's third person and I think it works better this way. Anyway, thank you for trying to read this, and enjoy chapter one!

BUNNY

Missing Sister

Many lives are destroyed by the government. Some lose money, property, some lose lives. Due to war, arguments and plain old murder, many die because of the government. Some even lose their childhood. These are called the Dragon Talented.

Despite the name, not all Dragon Talented have the power of the ancient dragons. Although some has the power, most are different. These include humans with heat manipulation, influence over the basic elements, Shape shifting, and even the ability to Teleport. It makes you wonder if they are truly Human. In order to keep these kind of people in check, the government took these children away as soon as they have come known to their abilities and teach them to control it in a school hidden away from the world.

Brook Gates heard the doorbell ring. When she was about to get off the couch, her older sister asked her to tend to their baby sister crying. Brook shrugged and did what she was told. She hated her baby sister Georgia. When she was born twelve months ago, their mother died and their father became drunk. She looked at the baby in disgust. Brook hated the fact that they have the same deep blue eyes and long brown hair. That was the main reason Brook cut her hair and dyed it jet black, if anything just to say she was nothing like the still crying baby. After her Mum died, she changed everything not just her hair. Her usual summer dress turned into black jeans and a black jacket that only covers half her body over a blue top.

Even Brook's personality changed, all her friends leaving. Her only friend left was her older sister Jaclyn. And then she lost her too. "Shut up!" She snapped at the still crying baby. As much as she strained her ears to hear, Brook couldn't understand what her sister and the two adults in weird uniforms were talking about. They soon left however, and when Brook asked Jaclyn what it was about she just got a kind smile and that it was nothing. Brook knew it was a lie, she saw the unshed tear in her fourteen year old sister. The next day, Brook and Georgia moved to a giant mansion. The next day, Jaclyn Gates never came home.

At first, Brook thought her sister was on a school camp. A week passed and she still wasn't home. Brook had lost her one and only friend. The cooking and cleaning was handled by 19 year old Darcy Carlson. She was nice, and fun too be around, but she wasn't the same. Every time Brook asked about her sister, the blond women would avoid the question and then ask her to do something sternly. Otherwise, Darcy was always cheerful, and if Brook did something wrong she would just laugh it off.

Nearly a whole year passed without any word on Brook's older sister. Brook assumed she was dead but she refused to give in and convinced herself that she got a scholarship overseas and would come back soon. As the two year old giggled at their carer making faces, Brook heard a knock on the door. "Sissy go get that." Georgia smiled in her broken english. She was still learning to talk, but she said as much as she could. "I told you to stop calling me that!" Brook snapped, making the little girl with brown hair giggle more. "Sissy will always be Sissy! Or does Sissy want to be Bro?" Brook clenched her fists and went to answer the door. Standing there, was a young lady with crimson hair wearing a familiar uniform, only in a different color. Instead of being brown, she wore purple. Despite the age difference, Brook slapped the women very hard on the face. "Where is my sister!" She yelled in anger.

The women didn't react, almost like she expected this to happen. Darcy heard the teen yell and knew who was at the door immediately. She scooped up Georgia and went to the door. The red head saluted when she saw Darcy. "Major Carlson, Sir!" Major? Darcy sighed. "Relax Sammy, just call me Darcy." She showed the women called Sammy in, despite the protest of Brook. The older women sat opposite each other, Georgia on Darcy's lap, while Brook slouched on the sofa, not caring to be polite. Darcy was the first to break the tension. "This is Samantha West. Sammy, you already know about Brook." The red head nodded.

Brook snared at the young women in distaste. "I don't care who she is, just tell me where Jackie is!" She refrained from yelling, but it was far from kind. Sammy sighed. "I was about to start. As you know, your sister Jaclyn Gates spoke with two adults before leaving last year. Well, the reason no one told you about the truth is so you can have a relatively normal life. But it seems as though you are smilier to your sister when it comes to awakening at the age of fourteen." Brook was not impressed. "Awakened? Will you just get to the point already!" Sammy bit her lip. "Sissy, why you angry? Haven't you seen the baby dragon following you around?" Georgia stopped playing with her brown hair.

Sammy raised her eyebrows. "She can see it?" Georgia nodded vigorously. "Can't Sissy see it?" Brook shook her head. "Stop talking gibberish!" She snapped. Darcy sighed. She clicked her fingers and Brook nearly fell off the sofa. "What is that!" She screamed. "That has a name!" Huffed the small thing next to her. It was about the size of Brook's palm, having deep purple scaled skin and amazing purple eyes. Small folded wings were on it's back, looking fragile. It was a dragon.

How was that? As I said, it has changed but I think for the better. Sorry if there are too many characters. Basically, Brook is the main character, Jaclyn is her missing sister, Georgia her baby sister. Darcy is their carer who takes care of food and what not, Sammy is just a stranger that knows Darcy. Please read though, it gets better, so see ya next chapter!
