Dear Teddy,

Written by: Volleyball247

I remember when I was little,

When I used to tell you how the school day went,

Who my new friends were and the ones I secretly disliked.

Every night I used to wrap you in a hug as we fell asleep.

I wish you could hug be back,

So I could feel your soft, warm arms around me.

And I could feel safe.

I could tell you anything and everything

And I knew you wouldn't tell anyone.

This time, I will cherish forever.

This was the time when I was gentle with all my animals, especially you.

But now I just sling you to the side like something that was never alive.

I hardly ever talk to you, and I never tell you how the day went.

I don't wrap you in a hug as I fall asleep.

I hope you are happy, even though I am not there.

I hope you can move on, so you can have a better life.

I should have treated you better while I had the chance.

So I'm sorry; can you ever forgive me, Teddy?
