Flickering flame,
You're the candlelight
That illuminates a dinner for two.
Flickering flame,
You're the torches
That light a lone explorer's way.
Flickering flame,
You're the campfire,
That keeps a body alive through the night.
Flickering flame,
You're the house fire
That leaves a path of destruction in its wake.
Flickering flame,
You're the hot, white fury,
That snaps something inside.
Flickering flame,
You're the sudden spark
Between two people who were meant to be.
Flickering flame,
You're what I'll feel
When God reveals the One I need.
