There can be a lot inside a simple look

Complicated desire contemplated from behind dark eyes

Burning through me to my center

Touching me so deeply

Like the inflamed passion of a lover's carress

I can see your hatred of me

It is bottomless

Deep like the darkness of the forest on a winter's night

There has always been a bit of the predator in you

A swollen intensity

A certain tarnished charm

I recall the way you would hold me captive with your gaze

Like you could see into me, see the emptiness in me

But still yet the cold rage

And somehow it was like only you and I existed

And sometimes I couldn't resist it
