Night and Day: A new start.
...
"Where have you been!" an exasperated Shizune threw open the door that revealed a small girl.
Honoka looked up with a wary smile. Honoka was living in the city with her Mother but soon when honoka's health was failing it was decided that she would come out to the country side where her elder sister, Shizune, lived in a large mansion at the outskirts of the village. Worry was strong in her sisters large eyes but soon after walking in it was replaced with excitement.
"Come in quickly." Shizune said pulling her along
Ok, ok, I'm coming." Honoka said trying to calm down her sister's enthusiastic personality, before it flared up. Honoka was seated down on the couch as a butler had prepared her tea and placed it for her carefully on the coffee table.
"geez~, you should have let the car take you seriously." Shizune complained with a pout as she sat next to her.
"You worry too much."
"That's only because you make me worry!" she exclaimed back.
Honoka just replied with a sigh and a light smile. The way her Sister always doted over her was sweet and it meant a lot even though they were often separated.
"Ne Onee-san?"
"Hmmm?"
"Is the school nice over there, tomorrow is Monday and I feel a bit nervous." Honoka said looking down into her tea as she fingered the cup.
"Don't worry you'll do just fine, I will be there to check on you, oh yeah and Kaede too." Shizune replied losing some emotion at the end mentioning their hot blooded cousin.
Shizune gave her a reassuring smile, "Let me take you to your new room." she said happily. Honoka followed slowly after and could only wish for the day to end.
...
Honoka's body hit her bed with a long sigh of relief. Shizune took her everywhere around town and threw the house, she was exhausted but still very excited for her new school. She turned her body to look at the new school uniform she had received. She took a moment to take in everything until she got up to prepare for bed. Quickly she changed into her night gown and sat infront of the mirrior to comb her long brown hair. Its pale strains spilled around her shoulders, it was a comfort to her, she had always loved the pale color of her eyes and hair it resembled her Father's. It had been many years since she had seen him and she felt a deep acheing in her heart to see his gentle features. She stood and moved to her bed to get some sleep for her new start the following morning.
"Hoooooonaka~ sweetie, wakey wakey."
"No mom one more minute" Honoka muttered turning around and pulling the covers over her head
"You said that five minutes ago, And I'm not your mother. James! James! do you have her breakfast."
"Why yes madam I do." James walked in an elderly man with a mustache that covered his mouth. Honoka wiggled under the covers and sat up slowly at the strong scent of food that came from behind her. Slightly drooling she turned to a ready plate of food at the coffee table in her room. Yes she had a coffee table in her room because well that's just how rich they were, they could afford walk in closets and full baths the size of pools.
"Its time for school Chika we have to go, quickly." Shizune said to her as she shoveled down food.
"fwuat dime dist id?"
"Don't talk with your mouth full sweetheart, and its quarter of eight your already late." Shizune said to her patiently. Shizune often acted older than she was like a mother to her.
"7:45? I'm late on my first day!"
"That's what I've been saying to you this whole time." Shizune said with a sigh as she watched Honoka rush about getting ready for the day. She straightened out her tie and hopped into the car, well it was more like a limo. The driver(also James) took off at top speed skillfuly not killing anything along the way. They reached the building but Honoka had no time to look at it because she rushed inside as soon as her feet touched the ground. She took a breather when she was in the hall looking for her classroom. She was in Class 2-A...
"Honoka~" urgh, I know that voice. A large breasted women with dark purple hair, close to black, came up to her and put her arm around her in a tight embrace. She was my cousin and sadly her homeroom teacher.
"Hi Kaede."
"What's with that voice after I was so nice to find you and bring you to the classroom." Kaede pouted. "Now come on you're late enough already."
"So I've been told." I mumbled before reluctantly following her.
...
Shiory walked in the empty halls her foot steps echoing against its walls. She went up the stair case and ignoring the 'do not enter' sign and headed onto the roof of the school building. the door had been locked of course but finding the key or picking the lock was one of her talents.
She sat atop of the concrete staring up towards the sky. She re-positioned herself repeatedly before sitting up in frustration. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was somewhere she was supposed to be. Finally she stood and let her feet carry her to well, where ever they had to go. She then found herself in front of the classroom that she never goes to.
She never attended class simply because she never wanted to make the teachers and students uncomfortable. With a large sigh Shiory opened the door and walked inside, the room was completely silent all 20 or so people's eyes were on her as she sat in her seat in the far back. The sensei was half way through attendance when she had walked in.
"Well what a delightful surprise you finally decided to come to class." Kaede-sensei said with a hint of sarcasm,
I guess she should be lucky that she happened to be the only teacher that would actually talk to her. I just shrugged my shoulders in response. Kaede stared at me with a bored expression before she gave up on the attendance saying how everyone was here and it didn't really matter because it was a waste of her time.
"Now then to the most important part of the day." she said happily "Honoka dear you can come in now." she called with a sing song voice.
The door slid open and a girl of average height walked inside. She was thin and had pale skin untouched by the sun. The way she moved it seemed that she was sickly in some way. She had wavy brown hair long and the color of honey with matching large bright eyes. Her gaze was penatrating and seemed to be innocent, looking at everything with good intentions.
"This is our new transfer student, Suzuki Honoka, everyone be nice to her because she is my precious little cousin, Got it?" she ended with a threatening voice. The classroom was in a buzz when finally Honoka followed to introduce herself.
"Hello everyone, I came here to live with my elder sister Shizune, I believe she is a senior here, please take care of me" she said in that quite voice that always irritated me. The Whispering got louder.
I can't believe that this twisted sensei had an angel like this as a relative. A boy sitting in front of me said.
I know and to think her sister was Shizune-sama. Another boy next to him agreed.
Shizune was the school idol, she had the top grade, and the top scores for athletics, although I'm on the same level, not that anyone cared.
"Suzumi-san where did you live until now? Why didn't you live with Shizune-sama?"
"Yeah Why?"
"do you have a boyfriend?"
"hahaha no one would want to date you!"
"Ah well-
"Don't stress her out with your stupid questions!" Kaede said protectivley, when someone burst through the door. Can you guess who it was? Yup that's right it was none other than Shizune and all three of the crazy family members were together. So the cold vicous teacher fought over Honoka with the hot blooded honor student. Sweet dontcha think?
"Onee-san please, why are you here?" Honoka said perplexed.
"Well I came to check up on you of course!" she replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, and to them it was.
"Yeah Shizune aren't you supossed to be in class?" Kaede said giving her other cousin a death glare.
"Aren't you supossed to be teaching a class?" Shizune shot back. There was practically electricity, I mean you could really see the love they had for one another.
"Shizune! You'er an honor student you are supposed to be in class! And you Kaede you are a teacher stop acting like a some yankee!" Honoka scolded the both of them. It seemed she was the only thing to keep those two in check.
"Fine."
"Fine" they both said in unison pouting.
"I'll be going now don't get lost on your own kay?" Shizune said in a sing song voice as she happily left the class room. She sure recovers fast.
"Alright everyone butts in seats, and calm down!" Kaede barked.
Talk about bi-polar. "Honoka honey? You can seat by..." she trailed of putting a finger to her lips thoughtfully.
Never mind about the last comment, she definitely has multiple personalities. "Ah! kosaka-san in the back, that's were you can sit." now I seriously think she was crazy, No ONE sat next to me I mean No one. If she was so protective over Honoka why put her next to ME of all people? This continues to be a strange day.
The girl came to the back of the room, everyone was watching as if a big hole would open up and she would get swallowed into it just like that. As she came closer she looked over to me and in the truly kindest way she gave me a sweet smile and a greeting, Me! the first time in a long time someone smiled at me with genuine happiness. The rest of the day for once in my life I attended all of my classes, so what if it made everyone uncomfotable? So what? But sure enough she was there in every one of them sitting next to me with that smile, that bright smile. I swear God sent an angel to look after me,a ray in my dark world.
