Black is onyx, glittering in the sun

Black is the silence, still, cold, waiting

Black is the darkness, in which someone hides

Black is the night when they lie wide awake

Black is their hair, shielding their face

Black are their clothes as to not attract attention

Black are their eyes, observing the world

Black is the hate that is shown to them

Black is the colour of betrayal and trust

Black is the numb feeling they feel every day

Black are the voices, whispering in their ear

Black are the guns that lie on the ground
