Beginning of the end

Chapter 3! –

Okay – 1) I am so sorry for not updating sooner! Have been really busy! (Working in a primary school mainly) 2) Thank you for my review! :D :D :D :D I nearly screamed when I saw I had one! So thank you! :D Annyways – chapter 3! – Oh, and you may of noticed this story is now an 'M' rating, just a warning for any younger people who are reading this! – This chapter's not too bad; it's the next you have to worry about! :P (Oh and italics are either Taylor speaking through comms or someone's thoughts!)

Taylor's fingers dance merrily over the black keyboard of the computers, otherwise known as the Supernatural detection device (SDD). She sighs with delight, a smile still lingering on her face from the night before, Jason actually kissed her! Taylor frowns, he was drunk, and he didn't know what he was doing!

Taylor jumps as she feels two hands clamp onto her shoulders, "Jase!" She screams, Jason giggles like a young child, his face red from laughing so hard. "Stop doing that!" Taylor scolds, frowning, although the corners of her mouth twitches slightly. Jason pulls the 19 year old into a hug, enveloping her in his strong arms. Jason laughs again, his laughter vibrating through her, but his laughter is soon put to an end when the sirens blare on the SDD, signalling another call out. Taylor groans, great, all she needs right now is another alert. She places herself down on her usual black swivel chair and furiously types on the keyboard, bringing up a map of London on the screens, the team crowd around, "What've we got Taylor?" Fletcher enquires, "Okay, we've got an outburst in a shopping centre!" Taylor gasps, she switches the screens over to the radio, "Reports have just come in that there is a zombie outbreak in a busy London shopping centre, the attack started around 20 minutes ago and is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon" The reporter says, "Taylor, get this radio broadcast closed, now." Jason orders.

Taylor nods, knowing that what happens at the SDC and the zombie outbreaks are top secret. "Okay" She replies, Taylor sighs, before closing the radio broadcast and deleting any online evidence that's has quickly found itself on the internet, "Wow, some of this stuff is really weird! 'The apocalypse is near', 'the end of the world is nigh', 'Jesus is back from the dead, bringing death and misery to the world'" Taylor mutters as she reads articles from the many zombie related websites, "Okay, Taylor, carry on with this, we're heading off, keep in touch over the comms yeah?" Jason says, Taylor nods, before giving her friend a quick hug, and saying her goodbyes.

Taylor watches on the CCTV as the team jump into their SUV's, and screech away, ready and prepared to face more brainless stupid zombies, Taylor shivers at the sheer thought of them, yes, she was part of the team, but she couldn't even begin to imagine how she could possibly be calm neara zombie, let alone gun them down.

Jason steps out of the car first, a gun clenched tight in his hands, a fearless expression plastered onto his face. Fletcher walks up and stands beside him, while watching hundreds of scared and terrified citizens flee from the shopping mall. Duncan, Abby, Stephen and Georgia step up behind them, "Remember, be careful, don't get too close to them, and Duncan, don't even think about using your new invention, there will still be living people in there, and we'll have nowhere to get away from the heat waves, right?" Jason orders, the rest of the team send him an acknowledging nod, before cocking their guns, and following their team leader into the chaos.

"Okay, Taylor, any updates?" Jason enquires, having still not found the zombies yet.

"Okay, they're on the second floor, there's about 20 of them, remember, zombies can't use the stairs!" Taylor squeaks through the comms.

Jason nods, before heading up the escalator with the others, "Guys, I've just had a report in that there are a load of people trapped on the third floor because of the zombies on the floor below, you need to get up there, quick!" Taylor informs them, Jason groans, how he hates rescue missions.

The team arrive on the dreaded second floor, and are greeted by the sight of hungry, brainless zombies walking around with a slight limp, several living people are running for their lives, yet somehow failing, as half of them are dragged down by the group of the living dead. Jason watches as a young child breaks free of the zombies hold, the child, still very much alive, and human, waddles away from the monster, his little legs scuttling towards Jason, Jase crouches down and holds his arms out to the toddler, the toddler cries as he runs towards Jason, but he isn't quite fast enough, a zombie soon steps in-between Jason and the child, it turns around, and sinks its teeth into the toddler. "No!" Jason cries, he raises his gun, shooting the zombie in the head and he watches as it blows and shatters into a thousand pieces, blood splatters everywhere, mainly down Jason's clean black shirt, "EEurgh" He mutters.

Jason looks down, expecting there to be a young human toddler bouncing around by his feet, instead he is greeted by a young 3 year old zombie that stands before him, Jason gasps, somehow afraid of shooting the youngster. He raises his gun, closes his eyes, and pulls the trigger. His eyes squint open, revealing a gruesome sight of a young toddler that's been blown to pieces, he lies on the floor, his skull cracked wide open, the brain and bone showing as well as a large pool of blood that flows freely from the toddlers head. Jason throws a hand over his mouth to stop himself from screaming like a little girl, before straightening himself up, and joining the rest of the team in gunning down the remaining zombies.

Fletcher sighs with relief; he's bent over, with a hand on the railing, he smiles happily "Good work guys, let's get back to HQ" he says, Jason nods, although he isn't quite so happy, a frown lurks on his face as he remembers the helpless child, Jason hangs his head low, the images of the dead youngster still irritating his disturbed mind. He sighs, before following the team into the SUV's.

Fletch patrols the corridors of the SDC, his heavy boots clomping on the shiny tiled floor. He frowns as he thinks about Georgia, brilliant as she is, he can never be with her, she's way out of his league! Fletcher sighs as he notices a crate full of heavy guns that has just been left in the corridor, he groans, before lifting the heavy crate up, and although he's muscly and strong, he struggles with the crate full of guns. "Need a hand?" A voice pipes up, Georgia comes into view, a smile on her face, and he stands, staring into those beautiful green eyes, and working his eyes down her slender figure, finally ending up at her dainty slip on shoes….."Hello? Do you need help?" She enquires, whilst waving her hand frantically in front of his face, Fletcher snaps out of his daydream, "Uuh, Yeh" He admits, "Yes please" Georgia corrects, an annoyed tone in her voice. She grabs hold of one side of the crate and helps him carry it to the armoury, practically all the weight of the guns is lifted from him and the crate suddenly feels as light as a feather, wow, strong as well as pretty! Fletcher thinks.

Georgia places the crate down beside a rack of guns, before wiping away sweat that rests on her forehead, "Thanks" Fletcher says, Georgia smiles, "No problem" She replies, she lingers for a while beside the crate, as if she's expecting him to ask her something.

Come on, ask her out! Just ask her out! Don't be scared! Fletcher thinks to himself, he opens his mouth to ask her, but he opens his eyes and realizes she's already left the room, just how long was I daydreaming? Fletch thinks, he shrugs. Before picking up the note that Georgia's left for him, she had time to write a note? He thinks, He reads the note, reading aloud to himself, "Since you stood there for 5 minutes with your eyes closed and mouth hanging open I left, I know you like me, so just ask me out? No need to stand there looking like a total weirdo! See you tomorrow, Georgi x, Fletcher stares at the four, yes four kisses at the end of the note. He smiles, pocketing the letter; he heads out of the armoury with a smile on his face and a spring in his step, so much for the whole serious soldier act.

7pm…..

The end of the work day came and went, with no more call outs for the team, Taylor slumps on her sofa, a coffee in her hand and a magazine in the other. She's just drifting off to sleep when there's a sudden knock at the door, she jumps, nearly spilling her coffee on the white rug. She steps up, and opens her front door, "Jason!" She says, "Uh, come in" She stutters, Jason steps into her flat, and places himself on her sofa, "Tea? Coffee?" She offers, but he shakes his head, "No thanks, look, about last night, about…..What happened" Now it was his turn to stutter, "…Last night?" Taylor questions, Oh hell, he remembers! She thinks, "W..What about last night?" She mumbles.

Jason gazes up at her, "I kissed you, remember?" He asks, Taylor sighs, "Yeh, I remember" She says, Jason stands up, making his way over to his friend, he cups her cheek gently with one hand, before pulling her in for a long kiss.

Taylor gasps, not quite expecting Jason's sudden kiss, don't do it! He's drunk! Hang on, he's NOT drunk! She thinks, a thousand thoughts whirling around in her mind. Jason sighs, pulling away, "I love you Taylor Jackson" He said, a glint in his eye as he spoke, his soft Scottish accent smooth and calm, his spearmint breath tickling her face as he gazes at her with his stunning blue eyes, his hand tracing small circles on her cheek making her blush, he slowly leans in, very slowly. His blue eyes gazing at her lovingly, he looks down at her wavy brown hair which hangs loosely over her shoulders, he looks down at her sparkling green eyes, before leaning forwards and…God this is another stupid damn dream! Wake up, just wake up! Jason kisses her smoothly, his hand entwining with her silky hair, the other finding its way down her back, Taylor soon realizes that this isn't a silly dream, and she wraps both arms around his waist, loving every minute of it….
