I should have simply,
Let it be,
But of course I couldn't,
Being me.
I had to ask,
I had to know,
If you would stay
Or you would go.
I had to know,
If we would split,
Or if we could,
Last a bit.
But now I know,
And wonder why,
I had to ask,
And force goodbye.
I know that this,
Is for the best,
But now I just,
Feel depressed.
You were great,
And I loved you,
But we couldn't last,
We knew the truth.
I think we both knew,
We were doomed from the start,
But it doesn't matter,
It still broke my heart.
I should have simply,
Let it be.
Instead, I ended,
You and me.
Poetry mood. I like it...mostly...
